  1. You are a sad ***t.

Let's not forget the amount you spunked to get out of L1 that the Liebherr's will probably want back Originally Posted by gaz Apart from tarting up the toilets, those Ruskies haven't looked that interested in their latest investment. 2. As I pointed out, they spent more than your owners this close season so how are they "not looking interested"? Make your mind up, it is either this season and last season or just this season? Which ever it is we have done far better for less......... LOL
  3. We did not need to spend millions as we have a very good functioning squad, you had just enough for a 5 a side game. What a sound investment it has been eh I mean with all that investment Pompey must be in the mix to leave the division? Oh yes they are fighting to leave the division .................................... in a relegation battle....... PMSL
  4. Average ticket price £26?????? PMSL. Try £19. Also there are the freebies that are given out for every home game, the promotions - For just £44, a family of four will be able to watch the Blues in action in selected home games this season – that’s an incredible saving of £32! So they are only paying an average of £11 each. Then there is this one - An adult season ticket holder can bring an extra adult and two children for just £30! Or adult and child season ticket holders (must be related) can add an extra adult and child ticket for £22 for any of four selected games. So more discounted tickets there then. All of a sudden the revenue stream is dwindling.
  5. Stuart Pearce would be my shout as next England manager, he has been in the set up now for a while and has done a good job with U21's. Give him the job with maybe Beckham or Shearer in the set up as well. Lost interest in the England team after the debacle in South Africa and Rooney's outburst to the camera, if Redcrap got the job it would certainly not make me want to rush to Wembley.
  6. Blaming the defeat on 3 games in 8 days, bless. 2 of those games were at home so no travel there then Steve. could it be your tactical ineptitude or your over paid prima donnas are just sh1t?
  7. That will be because Kitson is not a regular 20 goal a season striker, only done it twice in 12 seasons.........................
  8. Pompey v FC Rostov: Ticket Prices Cut. Ticket prices have been reduced for Pompey’s charity friendly against FC Rostov next Wednesday. The match against the Russian Premier League side – which kicks-off at 7.30pm – has been arranged to raise money for the families of the victims of the air crash in Yaroslavl earlier this month. And the cost of seats has been cut to encourage as many fans as possible to come along and support the cause. Tickets now cost just £2 for the match against the Russian Premier League side – with accompanied under 12s entering for free. May be they could do this for league games, might get a bigger crowd? Glamour opposition so crowd of 2000 at most.
  9. So apart from the Farlington proposal (where did those geese go?), the Tiper proposal which was actively debated on Pompey forums and the fish bowl on the Hard when the fake Sheik or Dr Dolittle were supposed to be in charge there has been nothing. Where is the artist impression of the great stadium that would have moved HMS Warrior and part of the Historic dockyard? PMSL. So the new 'owners' want to invest in a training ground that they don't own, invest in an acadamy that is probably 10 years behind Saints and at least 4 or 5 behind Brighton oh and invest in an 'arena' that can only attract 12,000 fans which is less than 5 teams in League One. Once again to quote you 'PMSL'.
  10. Another of those what might have been moments. As mentioned above almost a carbon copy of Burnley except that we started brightly and Cardiff hardly got a kick in the first 5 mins. First half was eminently forgettable, second half we improved and chances for Schneiderlin (keeper made a great save), Lambert (twice) and Lallana should have been taken, couple that with the ref missing a blatent hand ball meant once again were going to suffer. We gifted them the 2 goals with KD and Fonte in no mans land from a long punt up field and then trying to pass out from the back went straight to one of their players who put Miller in for the second. Next time out would like to see De Ridder start in place of Guly who again was frustrating, good in parts but very pants in others. Note to coaching staff, lets try working on a plan B when the short goal kick is not on.................. soooooooooooooooooooooo frustrating!!!!!! Good set up outside the stadium with the parking for the away fans, Cardiff fans we met were very welcoming. Inside the stadium the stadium announcer tried to get some atmosphere going from the home fans to no avail, WTF was the air raid siren all about?? Was their biggest crowd of the season and still they did make much noise, clealy made more than them all night. We are still top of the league but only just, to think that if we had taken a couple of the chances at Burnley and last night we would be 5 points clear. Mind you if someone had said at the start of the season that after 9 games we would be top of the league have won 6, drawn 1 and lost 2 then I am sure we would all have taken it.
  11. It will be because it was a Tuesday night, the weather, Peterboro did not bring many, Manure were on telly or ..........................................................is it just they have pathetic support.
  12. Average gate last season 22,160, average so far this season is 24,033. In your world is that a decrease in attendance? Last away attendences, lets see who can guess which was which club is which. Club 1 - 300 or Club 2 1200
  13. Quite possibly if you ar 13, thankfully not many people joined in. There was an idiot behind us who could only sing one song about Charlie Austin being a 'Gypo' and nothing else for the whole game. WTF??
  14. He did well in the first half on the left on Wednesday night but did not much in the second apart from lay on Lallana's goal. CC only for me at the moment, De Ridder offers more versitility on the bench in League games as he can play up front if required.
  15. Both Sheffield clubs do NOT need new grounds. Both clubs, until England lost the WC bid, had plans to extend their grounds to over 40,000 (somethiing you lot could only dream about). Those plans are on hold, certainly at Sheff U, until if/when they regain their PL place. They are both in League One and both have a better average attendance than the Blue Few so the split supporter base does not hold water. Don't come back with the excuse that the attendance is down to performance, Sheff Weds were near the bottom of League One until recently and STILL got bigger attendences than those at FP. Bristol City's average attendence is only just smaller than the Blue Few so goes to show the clubs are of a similar size. As for Rovers, they may well be in League Two but Pinky and Perky have said they looked in the lower leagues for a club and it is public knowledge that Bournemouth turned them away. So would still love to know why Pinky and Perky chose Pompey? Certainly not for the infrastructure, certainly not for the playing staff assests, certainly not for the fanbase. If it was just to add to their portfolio as you claim then there are/were certainly far better opportunitites out there.
  16. So having down graded from an 'arena' to a stadium wonder when they will down grade the 'Blue Army' to a platoon!!!!!
  17. You are allowed one 'freebie' if you forget your ST, thereafter it will cost you. I know as I have done it before, just go to TO and they will sort it out for you quite easy really. No need for temper tantrums.
  18. No reason why we cannot get 12 points from the next few games. Burnley v Southampton - Win Cardiff v Southampton - Lose Southampton v Watford - Win Derby v Southampton - Draw Southampton v West Ham - Draw Reading v Southampton - Win Southampton v Middlesbrough - Win
  19. Hull56%Portsmouth44% Attempts on target Hull7Portsmouth0 Attempts off target Hull10Portsmouth4 Corners Hull5Portsmouth3 Fouls Hull11Portsmouth13 Plus a yellow card for TBH and a red one for Varney........................... all the refs fault of course.
  20. Skates 1-0 down already......
  21. I would expect Brum to bring the same number as Forest really, Can't see why people think they will only bring 500!
  22. Just think that if Tesco did build on the Nottarf Krap site there would be more people on the site at 3pm on a Saturday than there are now.
  23. I thought he did OK in the first half, seemed comfortable on the ball and dealt with Miller well. In the second half he seemed to be hesitant and gave away a couple of silly free kicks on the edge of the area. Not the easiest of things to do to come into completely new back 4 but for me overall he did well.
  24. Pride and passion for wearing the shirt, respect for the referee and players actually singing the National Anthem...................................... can't wait for Saturday and the rugby, at least it is one England team who can reach a World Cup Final.
  25. Hot bunking, sleeping on a plastic tray and in the bomb shop as well - happy days.............................
