  1. IF we did not have so many dinosaurs at our club at the time then the appointment of SCW could have been a good one. He transformed England rugby from also rans to World Champions by using training methods and ideas from several different sports.
  2. Tickets on sale either later today or tomorrow morning. Source, e-mail reply from ticket office I received earlier.
  3. Desperate times at Krap Nottarf. Apparently they are giving out free flags to fans to try to create an atmosphere today in their derby game against the Seaweed. Bless.
  4. Yep, 3 left up front with Morgan on the D of the area. Certainly meant Torquay had to leave at least 4 players back and one floating to cover Morgan. Refreshing to see as the OP said it is frustrating when we pull everyone back leaving no outlet.

    Riots

So? Those ***s are happy to drive a car at a policeman to try and kill him.

    Riots

Easy solution for me. The ones who have been arrested so far for rioting, looting and violence should be put on a fleet of Hercules transport planes and flown to Afghanistan. Once there they can be let off the plane and told they can riot, loot and cause as much damage as they can. If the Taliban don't get them then the NATO forces will. SCUM.
  7. Don't get me wrong, I would love him to stay and sure he would shine in the division but it seems as though he wants to go, whether that is the right decision for him no one knows. Clearly he has been influenced by someone or something, I wish him well if he goes.
  8. Get him off at the next bus stop. Lets stop all the speculation, get rid and move on. De Ridder will do the job quite nicely thank you. More money to spend on strengthening an already good squad. Saturday's performance more than showed what the squad without Chambo can do.
  9. What happens on tour, stays on tour so you are OK
  10. They had sold 5000 tickets to the Bestest Fans in the World ™ for their glamour friendly....................... PMSL.
  11. £33.50 to watch the skates......................... WTF?????? Think we sit OK in that list given the facilities etc.
  12. Notts County, Colchester and Peterboro all had good away support last season
  13. Went to that game as well. Blue Star I think was the name of the team.
  14. Yellow shirt and yellow shorts, that will be the new away kit.
  15. The names of John Carew & Marlon Harewood are cropping up on twitter from more then one person Carew supposed to be at the Marriott (now how many times have we heard this) as possible signings, NA claims not to have heard the latest rumours but does not dismiss them out of had, admits SC still wants another CB a left winger and another striker ontop of the two players signed today and the forthcoming Halford and herman More delusion from one of the Few's msg boards.
  16. The first payment to creditors was put back to April 2012 due to the fact Pompey failed by £3m to raise enough money through player sales to service the first part of the CVA.
  17. I know that but similarly neither are Wet Spam now, and I would certainly not consider them bigger or better than us.
  18. PMSL. Thanking fans for their loyalty, overwhelmed by the remarkable show of faith??????? All this on the back of 8000 of the 'Bestest Fans in the World' renewing a ST. I mean a whole 8000 in what, over months of them being on sale. WOW! Pompey’s new owners have cut the price of adult matchday tickets by £2 for 17 of Pompey’s Championship home games. In a series of initiatives to thank fans for their loyalty, they have also scrapped the planned third-phase rise in season ticket prices. Early-bird season ticket holders are being given another chance to get 10% back off the price of their season ticket by introducing a friend. And a £2 administration fee on tickets bought at Fratton Park on the day of a match will now be donated to charity. The club has been overwhelmed by the remarkable show of faith by supporters this summer, with nearly 8,000 renewing their season tickets for 2011/12.
  19. 'Bigger and better' would be a CURRENT Premier League team not one in the same division as us. They may offer bigger wages, that does not make them bigger or better than us.
  20. This is the plan according to the Megastore at the end of the season when I asked if more stock of the sash shirt was coming in.
  21. Well they have not got many employees left to pay have they?
  22. Another gem................... Talk about bigging yourself up SOS Pompey! The time for action is at an end… SOS Pompey started as a pressure group with the main focus on gaining transparency regarding the ownership of Portsmouth Football Club. Following the successful protest march in February 2010, SOS became the first football supporter protest group to gain access to the top men at the Premier League, helping to shape the Fit and Proper Persons Test for football directors, which all clubs now have to follow. Our single aim was to see that Pompey passed into the hands of owners that were fit to run our great football club. With the new owners, Convers Sports Initiatives in place, SOS believe the time is right for us to step down, in the hope that the ownership run the club the way it should be, We are rightly proud of our efforts, and also that one of our members has gone on to be one of the main instigators in the new Supporters Conference. SOS Pompey looks forward to an extended period of stability and financial sense from the new owners, and hope that our efforts are not needed again. We would like to thank all those Pompey supporters and indeed fans of other clubs who got involved with the SOS Pompey campaign. Play Up Pompey Ends
  23. Meanwhile .................................... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/defender_u_turn_over_pompey_future_1_2791941 Despite transfer speculation, the South Africa international has promised Blues fans he remains committed to the club. Mokoena has been linked with a switch away from Fratton Park this summer. That was in light of comments in the media made by adviser Dietmar Wendorff at the end of last week. Wendorff revealed he had been asked by Mokoena to help find him a new club. Yet, speaking to The News, the German-based agent is adamant the former Blackburn defender is not desperate to quit the south coast. He insists the 30-year-old intends to return to pre-season training on July 1. However, Mokoena – one of nine players contracted for next season– is concerned over his part in Steve Cotterill’s plans. And ultimately that will influence the defender’s future. Wendorff said: ‘Aaron does not want to leave Portsmouth. He loves playing for the club and has never said anything bad about them to me. ‘It is just that he has been sitting on the bench and, as a professional, he is not happy with that. Nobody wants to do that. ‘He has enjoyed being at the club, very much so, but that was when he was playing regularly. ‘That is all he wants to do – play. ‘A number of people are coming to me asking about his availability because I am in direct contact with him. ‘That doesn’t mean he will be leaving. ‘I think it is 50/50 whether he will go this summer. ‘If he stays he will be giving 100 per cent. He remains 100-per-cent committed to the club. ‘He is a very kind and hard-working person and will continue to fight for Portsmouth. I can promise the fans that.’ Mokoena, who was yesterday unavailable for comment, was a regular in Cotterill’s side until work visa complications saw him lose his spot in February. Ricardo Rocha made the most of a recall in his absence, striking up an outstanding understanding with Greg Halford in the heart of Pompey’s defence. Mokoena would start just one of Pompey’s next 12 matches. He was restored to the side for the final four matches of the campaign while Rocha was suspended. But he fears for his place next season. Wendorff added: ‘There has been interest from Turkey, Qatar, Russia and Dubai. ‘Clubs are calling and sometimes you don’t hear from them again. But they are looking at him. ‘It is normal to think about moving clubs when you are sitting on the bench. ‘Anybody would be upset about it. He wants to fight and play football.’ n Pompey’s Carling Cup first round tie against Barnet will be played at Fratton Park on Tuesday, August 9 (7.45pm)
