If I was him I would be tempted to delay talks until the end of the season. Will miss out on 5 months higher pay but will know what league we are in and be able to get a big signing on fee.

agree with all of that - apart from where Swindon want him to go. They will want him to go to whoever will pay the biggest fee - or most up front. I suspect teams like Swindon would quite like the "bigger" teams like us, Leeds, Sheff W out of this league so they can compete against similar funded sides and get promoted.

they may accept several bids and leave it to the player. Is it 30 goals in 50 games?
