Bale showed excellent promise, it was clear that he would make the very top, had some very good games, scored some good goals but had some poor games - particularly when the January transfer window speculation was happening. Country mile behind Matt though.
-
he can make a clever pass into the box, or beat a player to set up a chance better than just about any we have had at the club in last few years. He creates more goals chance than other players - consistently doing well on assists. But because he is willing to try a shot, clever pass, beat the extra man - when it doesn't work out it does make him stand out as losing possession. Decent player, form could be better.

ok, but think you will be on your own with this view.
-
just wrong! 20 odd good games for us, some average ones - million miles behind mlt in abilty/impact while in saints shirt.
-
not seen as much of Dickson but like his energy etc, think Mills is more LM but who knows!
-
so we have gone from playing Forest Green Rovers reserves to Fulham reserves and you are moaning that the quality of opposition has gone down?
-
jokes should be funnier.
-
from what I have seen would disagree, think Dickson, Harding fairly close - with Mills bit behind.
-
Mills.
-
shame these players being past it at 28

Last season after 12 games we had earnt 15 points, went onto earn another 68 points. Norwich had 19, went onto earn another 76 Leeds had 30, went on to earn another 56 Millwall had 15, went onto earn another 70 We currently have 15 points, if we have a remaining 34 games like we did last season, or Norwch, or Millwall - we will probably go up automatically. Last 6 games form - 3 of which against top 6 sides, have given us 11 points, continued over remaining games will give us 62 more points, total of 77. (play off place) This all goes to prove...nothing. Average over 2 points per game from now on and should be ok.

promotion 6/5 the favs relegation 50/1 the outsiders. You could make a lot of money

think decision to appoint Adkins could be good one. do you?
-
so planned months ago, was for nothing, but Cortesse couldn't sack him months ago when he wantes to because he had to wait for nothing to happen to give him the chance he had been waiting for to sack him for nothing? Get it now.
-
not that fussed if our 3rd choice lb goes out on loan for while.

heard on radio yesterday TM not available as not agreed his release yet, don't know if true

Hoddle came on when we were dire and looking likely to get relegated. He acheived the highest win % of any of our managers in top flight. In fact his win % has only been beaten by Pardew - two divisions lower - in the last 60 years. Several of those managers took over sides in a better position than he did. Blokes a tosser, has got a very poor record since, to say he was not very very good for us is re-writing history.
-
Southgate was doing much better - that was a poor decision sacking him.

on saints web hour ago! (but as he had left us years ago couldn't justify thread on it ) http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?25787-Opinions-now...&p=874089#post874089

Only thing I disagree about is that Hoddle had taken us as far as he could. Do you remember how well we were doing when he walked out and how fans felt? We were doing great and on the way up. People are anti him because he left us when doing so well, and he handled it like a knob.
-
fact is he was very very good when here. Think a lot of managers, looking back on their career would think Chelsea and onto england was pretty good CV! His record at Wolves and Spurs was not good.
