I won't defend Hoddle#s personality, beliefs, record at other clubs, how he left us etc etc - but he did exceptionally well with us and left us at one of our most optimistic points in a generation

agree - when Hoddle left we were still heading upwards, when Strachen left I feel we had peaked and played some disappointing football

agree. Think we would have been higher if Pardew had stayed, as we would not have had the bad run. Whether we would be doing as well now, how knows. Very impressed with what I have seen so far from Adkins and he may well turn out the better option.

Don't think he has been charged therefore no charges to be dropped. If the assault was serious the authorities would be reluctant to let him get away with it, even if the aggrieved didn't want to pursue it, if there is evidence. If there is other evidence, and if he did use a bottle / fight in public then there are other offences - offensive weapon, affray etc - that would make the views of any aggrieved irrelevant. Lots of "ifs".

October and November have us playing 6 out of the top 7 teams. We so far, two games in have a 100% record for October. If we maintain that until the end of November I will guarantee promotion and we can relax.

we are in better form than we were this time last season. we will not have the cup effect. if we get the same points from the remaining 35 games as we did for the last 35 games last season, we will finish on 86 points - the same as Leeds had last season.
