no date fixed, solent were due to be arranging it around time of Markus death and has been left, they hope to have one soon but no recent discussions
  2. bless.
  3. http://www.ok.co.uk/food/view/14883/Nicola-T-and-Cassie-Sumner/ right
  4. who knows. No-one here.
  5. What was Austin's problem last night with saints fans? He didn't get any stick and after they scored he was goading fans like he was billy big boots who every knew and hated - bet most didn't have a clue who he was - they do now - a total tosser.
  6. none of explanations seem to make total sense. Not criticising fans for calling for Pardew, but if it is completely his fault I think Cortesse has done well not washing his dirty linen in public and taken stick himself. The next appointment may give some pointers. Sure whoever it is will know the full story - so if we can attract a good manager and they are happy to work with Cortesse maybe he isn't that bad?
  7. if it is as above, Cortesse deserves a lot of credit for the press release and not rising to public criticism - if true, sitting there hearing fans siding with Pardew whilst he knows the truth wouldn't be much fun
  8. Don't want to make mountains out of molehills but I seem to be being misunderstood: I don't like Hoddle I don't want him back I think he says bizarre and offensive things He left us in a bad manner He has not done well since However, in the 12/18 months he was with us he was excellent. We were a relegation level team in premiership, he saved us the season he came in and started great the season after - which is one of the reasons why we are so bitter about how he left us.
  9. don't think that source was right in past?? Sorry if memory is wring.
  10. think easiest way is to accept that none of us have a clue, or are likely to ever know
  11. not knocking you but we have also had someone on here posting a good source saying it was because Pardew didn't have players training enough!!
  12. so you think the club should have kept him after what happened? (don't have a clue what happened by the way)
  13. not commenting on that, nor saying I think it would be right for him to come back - but anyone who says he was not a very good manager for us is re-writing history.
  14. Whatever his personality you can't argue with how well he did for us, probably the best improvement any manager has had with us in 12 months
  15. all we need is a manager to go and ask for them....
  16. Mowbray 5 years younger than Brown? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Mowbray http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Brown_(footballer_born_1959)
  17. Managers who wouldn't be stunned for Cortesse to want and would come imho: Brown - don't overly like him but think he could do well- and quickly which may appeal to NC Zola - not sure of experience but would bring very fresh start and good image Howe - think he would come and would be released (interview on solent) seems good tactically not sure if pressure of bigger club and instant results would be right Mowbray - not sure he would go from Celtic to league 1 but good manager Would not be surprised out of Brown/Zola/Howe

also agree, may not be the norm or the most likely - but shows it can be done - which I am sure Cortesse will point out! Also some of our players are much better than the norm for this league.

Just factual. Things not looking good, so thought I would look to see when Norwich changed their manager and compare and it gave me a bit of hope that if we get the right person in it is still possible we will have a good season. Possible if 1) appointed soon. 2) stating obvious but a good appointment (but what makes a good manager as they seems to be bit random in failing/succeeding at different clubs) 3) someone big enough to get players, who looked like they were sulking, behind him quickly 4) someone who will get on with Cortesse
  20. Guly looks like Euell??
  21. Rabbit in headlights at the start of the game No-one passing to him was struggling to get into the game and didn't look happy KD looked keen to get the ball passed to him caught in possession too many times, wanted to slow game down some very neat one touch passes and keen to take his man on. cut in well in first half beating players into penalty box and pulling ball back for probably best chance we had. Won lots in the air when drifted inside, looked very quick. hard game to come into - particularly if Harding is playing behind you and was in strop.

no when club are doing well its easy to enjoy it and be optimistic, after watching last night and not knowing how we are going to end up it is harder, but now I have seen this we will clearly be promoted with 12 points to spare!
  25. Last year, after 3 games Norwich were P3 W0 D1 L2 F3 A10 GD -7 Pts 1 They sacked their manager, appointed Lambert who had been a league manager for 4 years, never a team as big as Norwich, never at higher level and had never won promotion. Their next 6 results under Lambert were WWDLDD They finished the season promoted by 10 clear points. This year, after 3 games Saints are P3 W1 D1 L1 F5 A2 GD +3 Pts 4 Desperate eh?
