totally agree though, not that know huge amount about those players personally but (particularly Danns) reading up on them -if we signed those 3 would really have 2nd half of season to enjoy!

I was thinking the same, maybe signing RB today was infact releasing James to be viewed purely as CM. Heard Pardew raving about James in more than one interview - he rates him highly.

Rather than particular players, which position do you feel most needs improving on (or more back up)? To me the following are fine; gk - two strong players rb - new guy / murty /James lb -Harding / Seaborne /Mills cb jaidi/fonte perry/thomas Seaborne/Lancashire Martin/Saville lm - think Pardew likes Lallana there, can't see us getting better - Mills/Holmes/Papa/Antonio can cover Areas to improve rm -I like Papa there but reading about likes Danns running a game from there in higher league I think we could possibly improve on him or Antonio. cm Hammond/Schneiderlin/Wooton/James/Gobern forward Lambert/Papa/Connolly/Paterson Think Lambert and Connolly are plenty good enough for first choice but more injury cover would be good. Personally would go for CM - first name on team sheet player. (would be happy with any of those 3 areas)

my guess as well, we would have been quick to criticise on here if Pardew commented that he missed out on signing a good CB as he made one offer and sat back and it was rejected. Fonte looks the class act - maybe he was surprised that we actually managed to get him? But once we did felt Seaborn was better long longterm partner?

maybe, stranger things have happened and watching tv a lot of neutrals expect it so we should not write it off

BUT for us to go up we need champion type form and think we could do with more competition in midfield - central and right, and perhaps another forward. Signing of Danns or similar would show real intent

my 1st choice personal preference on write ups -Danns Ward would be funny with echo tho

Current centre backs Jaidi - from higher level Fonte -from higher level Perry - from higher level Thomas - from higher level Martin - for the future Seaborne - first choice for team in this div - young Lancashire Saville.

reading how desperate Palace fans are to keep Danns, and that he plays on the right where we haven't stable, wonder if Danns would be better signing? (based on reports rather than opinion from watching them)

come on, you were crying out for centre backs, Pardew has signed Jaidi, Martin, Fonte and Seaborne to add to Perry, thomas, Lancashire and Saville. He is only trying to appease you!

Otsemobor remained at the club but Norwichs season got off to the worst possible start losing 7-1 at home to Colchester with Otsemobor again putting in a very poor performance. However new boss Paul Lambert kept faith with Otsemobor and he scored in Lamberts first game in charge. However Otsemobor continued to put in some poor performances and Russell Martin was brought to the club in November with Otsemobor being on the bench
