denied by echo - again!

12 month rolling contract as manager.

good player who did, unfortunately have a very poor season - so pretty good fee to get for him. Didn't like comment about having relegation on his CV! All accounts decent lad - and saints supporter - memory tarnished by those points thrown away with easy misses!

mix of reports, some my opinion, some from within club.

I would be mighty ****ed off but would still want them not to lose to skates and would love a day out at Wembley one say. Not saying any of that likely with him - but shows they would still be the team I support

god this is like arguing with my kids! Yes that is probably right. However Pinnacle have made another excuse which we are all finding hard to believe. FL made a statement, which as the interpretation of most on this thread, still leaves room for Pinnacle to use that excuse.

sorry - you are ignoring the fact that FL were waiting on Pinnacle and pinnacle walked away!

but in theory the FL did not stop them proceeding - its was Pinnacles choice due to wack of willingness of FL to waiver right to further sanctions etc

getting bored with this now, so last one on this! I pre-dated GCSE's but can assure you that a got my "O" level. I am not saying it was more, or other sanctions however, the quote says - "Throughout our discussions no conditions other than a waiver in regard to sporting sanctions have ever been raised with us as a major issue." Unless the tell us specifically we are told that the waiver was only around previously applied sanction then it could be that they were seeking assurance that football league were going to waiver any further future sanctions.

guess not! get off the forum;) if you would rather no club, and am being honest then you wouldn't be. Don't think you, or anyone else of here really thinks that.

read the comments not the headline - it certainly leaves pinnacle room to say they are being truthful.

exactly - this leaves the very arguement pinnacle make (which I am not convinced is the real reason) as reasonable.

the release just doesn't say what you say it does! It talks about other issues itself- sporting sanctions! It doesn't say apart from the 10 point appeal etc

I am still pretty hopeful things will be sorted out with a positive outcome this week. I think the Pinnacle group were very keen, gained a great deal of credibility due to MLT - to give both a good positive PR start and a football input, and Crouch with experience of the club. I believe they agreed quite quickly to the price Fry offered. I think Fry started having doubts when they were not close to completing as the exclusivity deal ran out. Fry already, and local press, started making more positive soundings about the Swiss rather than Pinnacle. I suspect the Swiss saw their financial priorities to pay off debts and to invest into the future - not pay a big price for the club. Often businesses elsewhere in administration are bought for a very small amount. I understand the Swiss were talking with Fry late into the night and their deal is a simpler, more formal structure - very easy and quick for them to go ahead should they reach agreement. There is another party, from a tax free existence, not as advanced. I don't know that it will all be alright, but there are definitely interested parties and a seller desperate to sell - that usually means there will be a sale agreed!

I agree with Benjii on this - it doesn't actually reassure me that FL were not putting other possible problems re sanctions in the way

other than a waiver re sporting sanctions - what are the league threatening / what were pinnacle worried about?

wouldn't be surprised if the new owner approached him. if I were him I would speak privately, not back anyone and talk again when they complete!
