as the thread is getting a bit confusing just thought would come back to its point, the offer, which is fact.- not opinion, this is the offer he made, in writing through solicitors
-
where is this thread about Lowe or defending him? Think you are on wrong one!
-
um, you seem to be the only one who doesn't see it

Petition for a gagging order for all past directors...

closure? Have you been watching Loose Women again? We need to move on, they are irrelevant. -
The problem is that all the directors have appeared to let egos and personalities get in the way of running SFC. I don't think anyone has ever doubted Crouch is the biggest fan out of all of them. I don't know enough about them, nor do I want to, to say who has the most business sense. The letters don't appear to show Crouch attempting to remove Wilde in rational way (such as buying him out or rights issue) but making offer that was never going to be accepted. I doubt if many on he have ill feelings towards him, I certainly don't, whereas most of us do have ill-feelings about the other two. You say all he has done wrong are his giddy utterances? - this is what we get to see of him and they haven't been good. He has lowered himself to Lowe's level of point scoring, made this offer and several other ill-advised comments. This is why I hope we can start again and start to forget that any of the previous board memebers were ever anything to do with the club I support. I am looking forward to a time when owners are rarely mentioned.

don't get your comment about Lowe. It is true, the echo last night printed his offer letter in full, the rejection letter and offer to meet to discuss, the agenda for the meeting and then the concluding letter stating Crouch wasn't willing to negitiate. Not really anything to do with Lowe.

I agree and think it would be best to cancel - even if new owners come in, let them sort their team out and we can welcome them at the start of next season

my take for what its worth (not much!) from other threads but covers this; Don't let lack of an immediate deal make you think he is doing nothing, I have only heard good reports on him. I would be surprised if the announcement is not by close of business tomorrow, but that bit is my guess. I think the delays are actually positive, in that the work he has done keeps identifying possibles and he is thoroughly examining them. I am not aware of anyone being put off by this. Unless one of the late enquiries quickly becomes a full formal detailed offer I would anticipate Fry going to the bird in the hand shortly. My guess would be other ruled out soon and working out the final details with one (my guess MLT's) over next few days

think team only has MLT, Tessem, Claus and Paul Jones confirmed - and no opponents?? Surprised they have sold as many as 1300
-
feel for MLT playing infront of 1,300 in 30,000+ stadium, will look embarrassing

this is my undersatnding which could fit with solent's report. My money is still (although wouldn't put much on it!) with MLT's group being favorites

understandably, offered half what was previously agreed to make deal perm http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4360790.Wotte_frustrated_at_Dyer_transfer_saga/

think another problem is what each party are calling bids, is it an offer and intent to proceed or is it detailed contracts etc. My understanding is; Ch Island pair made a bid - which was not detailed and formal etc and it didn't go further than that. Mr Xerox -made a bid Pinnacle - shown intent, not sure how far thats gone but understand its looked upon as having good chance Maple Leaf - made formal approach not sure how far one mentioned on this has made formal approach, again not sure how formal but hve shown intent and have been involved for a while. It is British businessman with serious overseas financial backers. My concern would be what the connection between them is? I am told Fry is keen to progress this quickly and maybe as soon as today select one to continue detailed talks alone with.

don't really get your point, the letters tell the story from that time -his offer, its refusal, clubs request to discuss, meeting held, his refusal to change requirements. Its not an opening gambit -it was a publicity stunt, with no realistic room for negotiate.
-
whatever the interpretation of later posturings you cannot get away from the fact that he put what was in the first post in a letter to the club as his solution - and that is not me being selective.

my work came up on this forum's predecessor - its in area of law and I have no doubt info is in good faith.

was mentioned by someone - but maybe getting muddled up with what I read on here!

cheers. Main update was that we hopefully will get some more positive news within 48 hours - and there are definately several still in the hunt - as read numerous posts today fearing the opposite. Genuinely sorry if it came across as anything more than my enthusiasm and wanting to share - I have no wish to build a reputation or ego on here -as none of you know me personally. Equally I do not see the need to get offensive, like a spoilt child, just because you don't get your way and get the full story.

not linked as I understand it

two cracking threads today - this and the interview.
