  1. is this a quick response to him saying something to you?
  2. why clutch at straws, its still very worrying but would not shock anyone if us, or any other there (except Charlton) survived
  3. I wouldn't as its still so up in the air, I am guessing you wouldn't be confident enough to put every penny you have on it, so maybe have some hope still!
  4. Wotte should they use instead?
  5. not good! just did it to see whether anyone was looking like being a late addition to the relegation battle! Think Watford and Derby are clear now but any of others still could go - although if Blackpool beat us they will start being confident.
  6. If the points gained in the next 8 games is the same as their last 8 games by each club the league table will be Watford 62 Derby 60 Blackpool 55 Norwich 52 Plymouth 51 Saints 50 Barnsley 48 Notts F 48 Charlton 34 Proves nothing I know!
  7. TEAM CHANGE only change Lallana in for Schneiderlin
  8. not knowing too much about their team but would be tempted with Lallana as well. One positive thing -starting to look forward to leaving for the game - I wasn't a month or two ago
  9. who am I spiteful towards? I want the nest players, best manager and best board we can have - and my hopes for each aren't effected by sulking.
  10. I don't use facebook, is this group/campaign still going? Are they protesting today?
  11. surely that would really test whether he can do a job for England!
  12. don't upset him then
  13. apoligies missed this on another thread
  14. but there is wanting a brighter future and petty spite. do you really think getting rid of a manager based on what happened to NP or the fact that Lowe appointed him is the best way forward. Said above that if Crouch came in and didn't want to work with Wotte then it would make his position untenable, probably the same as last year - but it would still not make it right. The optimism and fans will return with performances, if Wotte can deliver those then he should stay (the Lowe protest would also continue to dwindle). I am still not confidenent that Lowe can turn it around and do feel we need a fresh and united board.
  15. looking for experienced loan player - not GK http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4201817.Wotte_chases_another_loan_player_for_Saints/
  16. but who had the harder task?
  17. I had always seen him given the accademy title and thought that was the only one used. The bold bit is not what I am saying -as said above a few times we don't know how much he was involved - but for actually influence/decision making/team talks etc I would still guess it was minor based on what I saw on match days, the change since, comments made by players etc. I agree with other interpretation that assisting is quite different from joint -which is the sort of role you seem to be saying. UP - think I asked before, do you think the impact is better than NPs so far?
  18. all OS articles had him as Academy Director.
  19. but if he stays your argument for Wotte going surely goes?
  20. Stanley concedes on the other thread that he wants him out partly out of spite due to who appointed him and what happened to NP, unfortunately I think there are many who think like that, worrying too much about personalities in the boardroom rather than football - like our previous discussions on the protests led by anti Wotte banners. At least Stanley - although I think it is a sad way of thinking -is honest. Do you think his influence since being appointed is greater than NPs? -yes or no -no right answer but I would say it is.
  21. is he going then?
  22. no, don't think he should have done, think it explains how you are judging your football eye for an eye?
  23. however you want to play games with words etc he was not no1 for first team -whether he had influence, tried and failed, didn't bother, wasn't meant to even try, neither of us know. JP, justifyably or not, took the blame and left. As often happens, here and elsewhere, someone from within the club was promoted to manager following an unsuccessful time -while they were at the club. Is it not normal to judge those managers on how they do -as a manager? Since being manager; tactics have changed team have appeared to have more confidence and team spirit. results have improved And, going back to OP, with less resources and taking a team over in lower position, with a longer period of poor performance, with the horrible (and confidence sapping) run without home win, he has statistically out performed NP. Most on here rate NP (myself included). Therefore I personally think that anyone who does not rate him - currently -is being petty and is more interested in what happens in boardroom than on the pitch. I know that will annoy some, but that is what I feel. I also accept it is still fairly early days for a new manager - he may get worse or better.
  24. still petty to get rid of him if he is doing the job. Follow the team not the directors box!
  25. I don't care who recruited him, don't care what he was like in a role he no longer does, but am judging him in the role he is doing now -which he is doing pretty good!
