  1. didn't hear any sack the board chants yesterday -were there any?
  2. previous criticisms were unjustified, always been one of top goalies in this division and now I suggest the top. And as others have said decent guy as well.
  3. anything to add to the rumours of your takeover? You can't throw that in and leave it hanging!
  4. that was not the performance to judge saints on (not saying we are good apart from that!) Many teams in premiership, specially with 10 men would get stuffed. Nani comment - pub side -you do not have a clue what you are talking about. Nani was the youngest member of the Portugal U-21 squad at the 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. He made his first appearance for the senior Portugal team on 1 September 2006, and marked his debut with a goal in Portugal's 4-2 friendly defeat to Denmark.[2] Nani was a regular member of the Portuguese squad in qualification for UEFA Euro 2008, and scored one of the goals in the 2–1 away win over Belgium on 2 June 2007.[23] He also provided the assist for Ricardo Quaresma's goal in a friendly against Italy on 6 February 2008.[24] Nani's form for Manchester United during the 2007–08 season ultimately earned him a call-up to Luiz Felipe Scolari's 23-man squad for Euro 2008, alongside club team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo. He was only used sparingly during the campaign, but did manage to provide the assist for Hélder Postiga's goal during a 15-minute cameo in the quarter-finals against Germany on 19 June 2008. Portugal eventually lost the match 3-2
  5. probably renew - decision won't be effected by whoever is in board, as someone said its the team.
  6. it was posted with a "for what its worth" and no further comment from me!
  7. for what its worth Jan said on radio no other players will be leaving this window and he hopes to strengthen particularly at CB
  8. Jan on radio for what its worth saying no-one else leaving and hopes to be able to strngthen
  9. guess he goes because he fanices it and sometimes enjoys it, like those who don't, don't want to go -nothing about his morals
  10. by either way guess he doesn't mean one of the ways being that it didn't get processed by Allborg and UEFA in time!
  11. thats the sort of thing that would make them listen -however it would have to be a huge percentage or it will just be seen as a natural drop. As only 60% on here want to boycott a game (guess more militant crowd) doubt it would get enough support
  12. I have said above that it may well be that they were talkng elsewhere and trying to off load him, or that Allborg were considering a longer loan/purchase so I am not being niave. Equally I am not that blinkered to not be aware that movement of registration has often delayed debuts. It appears from others on here that Allborg need to fax their release of registration sometime after the close of the loan period. If they did that Friday -the first working day after loan period clearance may not have come through in one day -we all have known of longer delays than this. Who knows the truth but plenty to moan about without filling in the gaps to make it worse!
  13. whilst I agree that makes sense, as an outsider and not decision maker I am not in that position and fear for the decision making of the board/shareholders -which is why I am concerned about further change -I am concerned that each replacement will be progressively worse! although yours is well reasoned I fear that a lot of the Lowe out (as with anit-Crouch posts) are not particularly well reasoned and are asking for a boycott and not actually sure what they want -apart from Lowe to go -but with no idea of who or how they want him replaced. Its very well saying there are a lot of good cEOs out there (whether football experience is beneficial or not is another arguement) but who will be selecting Lowe's replacement? - the shareholders, currently Wilde having the major say. Wilde wanted Hone and then Lowe - so what makes people so confident that if they do drive Lowe out (which I don't think for a minute they will) Wilde will have a great replacement? Worth remembering the Lowe totally ignored all protests last time, didn't even go when a great number of shareholders turned against him, only when it was totally forced by Crouch's shareholding -and despite this lacking of popularity he came back. I am not defeatist, but really do not see a boycott effecting Lowe's resolve, nor it forcing other shareholders into action. So why make this club even more of a negative embaressment?
  14. read the thread -you must have caught that inability from him!
  15. staying. So, my question? the boycott is asking for what?
  16. similar to my views on GB (which proved correct) he is not doing well enough but would only want him to leave if there was a replacement already set up who was better -not an even cheaper option. So you are after protest against Jan?
  17. and my question is quite simple!
  18. I would not have replaced NP. Find it hard to judge Jan due to what he has had available to him, recent weeks his interviews have sounded desperate. But the question was what would protest be asking for, I am not saying Lowe should have come back or not but what, if Wilde for instance said ok I will meet fans what are you after? OK Lowe out but what else?
  19. genuinely interested, anyone?
  20. This article epitimises the problems with both sides of this petty squabble. Rather than detailing Lowe's many failings, inablity to retain managers etc he has a go at him for where he lives and his posh hobbies, ffs that is irrelevant. This picture tiff is worse than my kids, the image of a old bloke carrying it around to sulk and make a point is comical. And he talks of boardroom only being here two years and not knowing the impact of the cup - I am sure even Lowe could not help to have been moved by the yellows at Cardiff! LMc should be leading a positive charge not acting like a sulking kid -we need the likes of him and MLT to do a Niall Quinn
  21. good support at the last game, it will be when performance is bad -as everything most don't care about boardroom and not interested in Lowe or Crouch in or out songs will be happy if team play ok but complain if they don't
  22. very true, most don't care about the personalities just want to move on

if it helps, Reading game was one of the least I have ever looked forward to a game, a mixture of the football /results so far, the off field antics and dire negativity and beating the club up on here, but I went, watched the game and really enjoyed it.
  24. bit simplistic but fair summary. The suggested solution is exactly why I will not back boycott/protests as the answer is not so much getting those to go but getting decent guys in - unless I know there are people waiting to come in but are being prevented.
  25. as above
