Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
NickG replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
lost me:confused: anyway back to UP, think we think much the same on this -only thing I was saying is we cannot say salary wasn't a factor as we don't know the facts -but I also agree he would have done it anyway. -

no he is getting his wife to sulk at a meeting and carrying a picture around under his arm. several people I have spoken to think its a shame how personal and bitter he is. slag off lowe about manager appointments, failure to invest but this picture -embarrassing and worse than my kids -

Think it is really sad how an icon is coming across over this. -

as above. Bottom lines for me 1) we do not know how much more expensive NP would have been and whether his demands were too high 2) Lowe would probably gone with his experiment even if they were the same! 3) NP was no WGS or Hoddle for us, but we should have kept him if we could! -

my guess is that he thought it would be better system AND cheaper - is that such a ridiculous guess? -

I believe Lowe had his heart set on this set up and would have been something major for him to change his mind, e.g. NP winning most games and not wanting big salary. Bottom line, in an attempt to close the money arguement;)WE DO NOT KNOW if we could afford him, none of us really know the financial situation and none of know the salary he was asking nor whether he had any backroom staff demands -
when you consider opposition and fact we had 10 men there have been other games far more concerning than that. They were a class above us (and most of premiership) but didn't think it looked humiliating up until sending off. When they attacked their movement was a (painful) pleasure to watch

Saints Greatest XI - Best Right-Side Forward/Striker Poll
NickG replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
shame I missed him, but guess, compared to those growing up on DMg etc at least I had Keegan, Channon, Osgood, Worthington, Le Tissier, Shearer, Moran, Boyer and off course George Lawrence -
glad we got the distraction of the cup out of the way? -I just concentrate on the football not getting blinkered by personsalities either way

only voting for players I have seen, so Channon for me, not sure who else but not ron davies -
Poortvliet said: “I think everyone will stay and that is very good. “In defence we are very short and I hope we can do something. “We have a couple of players who can play also in this position, but are they ready in the Championship to do that? “We will see. “Normally you should bring one player or two players in where you need it to make your team stronger.”

would try in hole.

I keep seeing new post on this thread and open it thinking he must have signed!
-
still needs millions to plough in to make a difference, not sure if he is that wealthy?
-
true but if you read the threads over last few weeks there are many that believe they are done deals and you are a fool to believe otherwise!
-
its getting hard to be optimistic!

without turning this into question time disecting the prime ministers words, think it is reassuring as I believe he was being honest. I do not for a minute take this as a guarantee that no-one will move as all it takes is an approach from a club and/or agent, however I don't believe that he would have said that if, as quoted on here, it is guaranteed that Lallana, Surman and Kelvin (Calvin!) have gone and deals already done.

I sit halfway between Directors and Northam so if there was any don't think he would have heard it! didn't expect much complaint yesterday with the crowd there to see Man U, was expecting some at Reading but the support was pretty good. Surpised with the crowds patience this season with the lack of wins.
-
no, just in stadium supporting the team
-
just wondered as that link said there was and thought it was wrong

He was asked the question, of course there wouldn't have been a single moan on here if he had; stayed silent said yes said I don't know said lets just see what happens etc
