Pretty simple. OP asked for predictions as to how many points would be needed for promotion. There were 10 games left. OP predicted 22 more points to give 87, fair few were somewhere around there. The only way to assess that prediction is with hindsight at the end of the season when we know the answer. The answer was 87 points would have been enough to give us promotion. The OP was spot on. Credit where it is due.

Not sure which but from comments from the club they expect more than one younger player to move up to be part of first team squad Dean, Stephens, Argent, McNish, Reeves, Ward-Prowse, Garod? Guess Stephens is most likely and gather his favoured position is RB.

QPR used 22 first team players this season. The club have already said some of our U21 players will be used for first team next season. We already have pretty big squad. Unless there are going to be mass departures I don't expect many news faces

didn't realise Nugent only turned 26 this month, a player with his peak possibly ahead of him, local and available on free got to be worth considering. CMS could be silly money for his experience

Gobern is only just out of his teens a few weeks ago. Has played England U19 and seems to be still growing! Not sure how good he will be but think he is still on the up.

agree, but they didn't go for big names - most lower league, probably biggest names were jackson and surman (from memory so maybe others) who aren't experienced top players. Their regular starters this season was about 1/3 their league 1 players. We probably have some younger quality that will be good enough

This was the bumping for this thread. The question was what would be needed for the next 10 games. Therefore isn't it quite reasonable to bump it after those 10 games? Particularly when the OP was exactly right. I suggest anyone who is offended by the tone of this thread should revisit the first page and the chronology of this leaving respectable debate

if we hadn't started so badly then maybe then would not have come to St Marys for a draw and we could have beaten them then! They keep saying the league table is over the season (rightly) - not just the second half when we have been better, so that also includes last few games, so they did just beat us

I was looking on OS to see when this great run started, although we have done very well since Adkins arrived we seemed to get into top gear after Walsall game. I thought would post run and seemed suitable place. I genuinely did not mean to embarrass people for their earlier posts (although one posters reaction did make me laugh! ) I will start a new thread on the run.

get ready for all the press rumours. promoted side, made it clear the club are planning towards another promotion, got money, got good support, manager already given an interview saying wants to add some quality signings - all adds up to press linking us with everyone!

My prediction for these games would have been wrong. Celebrate the run - it was amazing, probably unlikely to see 15 game run like that for a while.
