  1. No. But wouldn't it be a better place with out trolls
  2. There are 2 posters on here, one of whom is dalek that with not a jot of self awareness continue to post there attention seeking drivel. The other one started a thread earlier saying we were definitely going down about an hour before we proved (again) what a complete idiot he is by getting a point away and securing safety. What is obvious with these 2 is that showing yourself up with every post matters less than the attention they get. Could I propose that they are both banned so we can celebrate out teams success with out there continuous bed wetting posts.
  3. If any one wants to watch a troll in action ( and I must say 90% of the time I ignore there posts, we all know who the few trolls on here are) then here you go
  4. Ok, we are back in it, but why are so many assuming all the teams around us will get points and we will get none. At the start of the season very few would have expected points v spurs away. Even so we played well and a draw would have been a fairer result. To lose the next two games would mean 4 losses on the trot. Now believe me I know we are southampton and never do things the easy way, but really, is that likely.Dont get me wrong, I am nervous, but lets have some faith. One or 2 points is very likely to be enough. C.O.Y.R!!!!
  5. Not sure that trolls think like that?
  6. I sussed him out years ago. Cant you just be certain though that if he had managed to keep them up he would have had it be known subtly [but not subtly] because hes thick] that it was all down to him!
  7. Very sad to hear this news.
  8. This post sums up my feeling. as a saints fan of course I am happy that at this stage MPs appointment is working out well and how can we be unhappy with where the club is as a business, compared to 4 years ago. I have no doubt that NC is the driving force in this and fully acknowledge this......... But as far as I can see and in the light of all evidence Adkins put his heart and soul into our club. He is a man of integrity and intelligence and I loved the way he didn't make anything about him [A la Redknapp] it was about the team. I just feel also that he was treated in a very shabby way. If he was off loaded by Cortese in the way he was, like a piece of dead meat, then what chance does any other Southampton F.C. employer have at the whim of NCs ambition. Indeed what chance do we, ultimately as supporters have. Will NC give us the same consideration he gave NA when he comes to his exit. I really hope my uneasy feeling about NC is totally wrong, I really do, but I feel that the way he treated Adkins should be treated as a warning to us all.
  9. Yeah. I was watching that " I am the messiah" look spreading on his face and then that last minute goal. There's is a god after all..
  10. I think Reading and Qpr are certainly gone. If Redknapp had got in a few early wins when he took over then maybe he could have done it but think players have found him out. So no reason to expect him to get his team to get the necessary wins. Pity for Qpr, but they should have appointed a decent manager and things could have been so different. It is sad to see a manager so clearly past his sell by date, he should do himself a favour and go back to walking his dogs. Think we are safe as every team from 18th to 13th will pick up 5 more points than us in the last 7 games for us to go down. It seems too unlikely to even think about.
  11. First of all interesting question but do not know why you would quote Turkish who is clearly an attention seeker with too much time on his hands. With at least one more major signing likely by the start of next season and clearly a very decent squad surely we will be above tenth at the end of next season. I would be a dream to be in the top six but 8th or 9th would be my prediction for next season.
  12. I would just like to give Adkins all of my best wishes. He gave me probably not far off my best 3 years as a saints supporter. Think he is a great guy and Reading are very lucky to have him. Never had any feelings for Reading [although they got on my nerves a bit last season] but I will now be looking at Reading results with great interest while he is involved. I would love now to see Reading stay up as long as it is not at our expense. 100% want us to win when we play them the game after next but that said, if he won every other game I for one would not begrudge him that.
  13. I don't know why I am posting this but with respect to who ever you are, what an absolutely moronic post. What saddens me is although I am sure you only posted that to wind people up, there are people that really do have those kind of thoughts in real life. Why would any body want to hate a group of people, in this case Portsmouth fans, just because they support a different team to us. Wierd.
  14. Nothing at all wierd. Sounded like he was talking from the heart and giving the supporters a clear explanation on how he had come to that decision. Good luck to him and Southend fc.
  15. Am I the only person that just finds it odd that any one wants to "hate or ridicule" any one whether its another set of supporters, in our case Portsmouth . I am a saints fanatic and have been for over 40 years but at the risk of being insulted and probably ridiculed, it just feels such a moronic thing. Is it about the need to feel part of a group and that is cemented by a "shared enemy". Well sorry it just bores me. Do you think its taking it too far when I say that it feels similar to having say a general hate of immigrants, or Moslems etc.etc. I know part of the supporting thing is as much the banter as to enjoy the game being played but I have read on this site, even on this thread such silly comments about hating Portsmouth.
  16. Just to put your mind at rest Hamilton saint I don't think I am being hypocrytical. I think you have misread my post. You are correct in that I think I have come to the conclusion that he does seem to have a very poor style of man management. With out getting too involved in that, there are lots of examples none more glaring than in the disgusting manner in which he dismissed Adkins who for the record I have come to the conclusion that he is a man of integrity and would not be deserving of such treatment. You are incorrect in that I have not told you that he has no mates, if you re read the o.p. you will see that I asked a question, " does he sit alone because he is unpopular". I did state I thought it was unusual that he sat on his own, but that is simply my opinion. Some posters have said that he prefers to sit on his own and gets so involved and nervous in the game that he doesn't like to be talked to. That is an interesting insight and if correct makes my wondering if he sits alone because he is unpopular incorrect..... Having said what I have about Cortese regarding how I feel about his management style please note I haven't commented on whether he is good for the club or not. In fact for what it's worth I think he has done a lot of good things for us. I am just old fashioned perhaps but I think how we go about being successful is as important as being successful. Wanting to acknowledge the incredible changes that have taken place at our club since he has been involved, I simply also state that there are certain things about him that make me uneasy.
  17. I wouldn't say I cared particularly if he sits on his own. No more than I care that possibly 70% of posts are replied to in a rude or insulting manner on this site. Just seems odd. He is after all running our club and it just seems possibly telling that most people would enjoy some social interaction during a game where as he sits there with a face like a smacked arse.
  18. If posted elsewhere please feel free to delete. Just interested that he always seems to sit alone when pictured in the directors box. Seems unusual. I think the evidence that he really is quite unpleasant in his dealings with people is starting to become clearer. Do you think he sits alone because he is unpopular or is it his choice?
  19. Just want to say Mark Lawrenson, you are a tired, arrogant, desperate, out of touch, ******!
  20. I dont think he has the wit to realise he has actually proved Adkins right. A bad apple like him could have stopped us getting promotion. Let us get as much as we can for him. I wish him no ill, but his bad karma will come back on him. He may be a decent player. The leagues are made up of decent players.Sadly for him what will allways let him down is his attitude.
  21. Good luck next season, exciting times on the south coast.
  22. Good luck Huddersfield, all credit to you. Kept giving me sleepless nights, just wanted you to lose at least one game. Genuinely hope you go up in play offs. Will be supporting you all the way in the play offs.
  23. Matt le Tissier dream maker, will we ever see the likes of him again? Its not knowing the answer to that that keeps you watching the Saints. I know its a different world and aLL that, but why oh why cant he be involved with the club in some capacity?
  24. Well done to them. They have done it the way i had hoped we could..with games to spare. Lets hope at the end of the season we are the second best team in the league.
  25. Brilliant result. Bit of a smash and grab, to be fair Leyton are a good division one side. A game I think we would have lost last year. Dickson was very good first half. Stand out player again, for me was Barnard. He is a real wind up merchant, cant be much fun playing against him. Just think we are a solid consistent team team now and would be surprised if we got less than 2 points per game til end of season, which I reckon will get us up.
