  1. Socialism-one man one vote, we have a socialist dictatorship government, how does that work?
  2. Just disband. The pontifications in it's name does it no credit. What is really needed is a body to represent the the 4000 shareholders who own 20% of the club. But if they can't be bothered what chance does a talking shop have. Bit like the fluoride consultation sham, ask, then do as they wanted anyway.
  3. Tame talking shops are useless. Might as well use the ticket/members numbers and get the ERS to draw them, that would ensure totally random selection.
  4. Probably end up looking like Yogie Bear, or Harry Redknapp.
  5. The reaction of the club to the demonstrations has been positive. Doncaster- Portvliet resigns, Wotte appointed. Swansea/Preston Wotte & players aware of the fans anger and treading on eggshells. The 'experiment' abandoned, the senior players now playing, performances more dynamic, immediate results and performances improving. The demonstrations are not having a damaging effect and certainly have got the attention of the club. Keep up the pressure.
  6. No Trust, No trust board member APPOINTED as a non executive board member, No politicians involved with the club. Not a penny put in. Crouch has stated a willingness to lend the club £2m, it depended on being matched by Lowe and Wilde, which probably won't happen. A place on the board for Crouch is sensible but probably won't happen. The only proposal on merit I support, is for Lowe to lose all executive power. I don't know Cowen but have heard many support his good points, however as he has always been a 100% Lowe supporter I wouldn't want him as an executive. The board needs sufficient unaligned non-executive directors and an independent chairman to make unbiased decisions. Lowe, Wilde and Crouch despite representing over 50% of the shares would not be able to make decisions. I am absolutely confident none of the above can happen unless we go into administration, or the shareholders turn on Lowe.
  7. Why would a self appointed minority group of self interested fans warrant a member on the board. Season ticket holders are by far the biggest group of fans and as such unrepresented. It would make more sense for the season ticket holders to elect one of their number.
  8. The Trust represents the members of the trust and the views of the officers only. The trust does not have the credibility or the trust to represent non-member supporters.

But we weren't 2nd from bottom and at least 4 points short of the safety margin and we have Notts Forest away last game of the season. We have a lot of ground to make up and everybody at the bottom are winning games.
  10. As his natural game is not to play wide, you're right. He would have to have been told to stay wide otherwise he would have played as he did.
  11. He's too lightweight at the moment, no end product and doesn't get in where it hurts, besides he hasn't scored since QPR, Mcgoldrick had a better game on Sat and is probably a more likely scorer. He may struggle to hold onto right midfield as Schneiderlin is available again.
  12. Keep the same side, play the same system. I don't like the system, that said that is the system we are adopting and it got a good result. Gillett was very mobile, did a lot of covering and won a lot of ball v Preston and is needed to hold in midfield. One of the two non-holding midfielders especially the right side need to get wider quicker a) when we are breaking out, b) also when an attack breaks down as we leave the flanks open with this narrow system. c) reinforce the wide player quickly, wall pass to get to the byeline rather than launch speculative crosses from 30 yds out. McGoldrick worked really hard last week but needs to be more aware and reinforce the wings as well as the front two. That way with this system we might get at the back four. Liptak looked a more than useful player, very good in the air, I am looking for him to be used more.
  13. FFS what are you all getting so uptight about? So Rupert Lowe ****es people off, loses his temper, a female feels intimidated, so what. It happens all the time. The real problem is his sheer, arrogant, know it all incompetence is going to get us relegated and maybe worse, wound up.
  14. Surman played slightly wide, Lallana not at all. The formation was a narrow midfield diamond and as a matter of fact Lallana was instructed not to play wide. The team played with practically no width at all. Yes the play did at times go wide but at that point there was no width as such as the defence had moved across. The width had in fact been created on the other unoccupied flank but was not used. Width is when both touchlines are occupied simultaneously and the defence is stretched or outflanked on the wide side. We never do this.

FFS, what are you lot on, he launches a load of crosses into the six yd box from 30yds out, what the centre backs didn't clear, the goalkeeper caught. We didn't create a thing from his crosses. He needs two things to make him effective, a couple of Saints players to come out to him, and to keep running playing one two's to get to the byeline and cross back across the box, then he would be a handfull.
  16. The system was solid, nothing came from either full back, all our crosses were tossed in from 30yds out and easily dealt with. The three goals were shots in the middle, Surman's was a chance, Saganowski volleyed from 25 yds and ran from 10yds inside his own half to shoot through the keepers legs from 10yds. We are very vulnerable down the flanks, against a better side not lumping the ball up to Parkin leaves us exposed especially down our right. The three front midfield players in this system have to move across and give it width, none of them did it quickly enough, but Surman was the best. McGoldrick worked hard but doesn't play across the pitch.
  17. A very welcome win. Superb, Great, it certainly wasn't. Solid yes, because we packed the centre of the field with a 4-1-2-1-2. Why did we win, we scored three goals, all of which were brilliant shots. Surman cracked his in from 12 yds, Saganowski from 20 yds, then ran from 10 yds inside his own half to shoot through the keepers legs. All the goals came from the middle, we put in cross after cross from 30 yds out, all gobbled up by the centre backs or goalkeeper, better from the left, but we had no width and didn't put one cross in from the byeline. We have hardly got a goal in the six yd box from play this season. Good teams score 80% of their goals inside the six yd box. Unless we start creating chances in the box we are going to struggle to score, we really can't expect lightning to strike with too many more goals from shots. We have had loads of shots, blocked, scuffed, or off target, yesterday we got three good ones on target for once. The diamond is solid but vulnerable to teams playing wide. We may become difficult to beat, but we need wins. Euell up front did a real job, Liptak looked a useful player and won all the headers he went for.
  18. And in retrospect they were right. His ego and micromanagement without accountability ruined this club. There should be no more executive directors. Make every department head report to the board not to a CEO.
  19. Lowe is a failed incompetent bean counter with no empathy with the customers. He cannot now succeed. What qualification is that to keep the job. The Chairman and board need to be NON - EXECUTIVE. The club secretary should handle the finances, the football management the football, and the board ratify the decisions. No CEO/overlord. Department heads report to the board.
  20. To tell the truth Colin, I scratched my head about that, but kept coming back to him. I was tempted by BWP or McLaggon, but what made me go for him, he always stays wide. He isn't the quickest but will track back and can beat players. I thought he might be able to wall pass his way to the byeline.
  21. You fix it, the ground will be full, probably everybody cheering for once, be able to sell it worldwide, call Max Clifford.
  22. They played 4-1-2-1-2 on Saturday not 4-4-2. Unless they play two wide in 4-4-2 or something similar they are going to be feeding off scraps. If they play the usual narrow crap we will have to keep a clean sheet to stand much chance unless we have a bit of luck. ------------Davis Perry----Saeijs--Liptak---Surman James---Euell---Wotton--Skacel ------Saganowski--McGoldrick
  23. See www.dailyecho.co.uk. March from the bargate.
  24. FFS lots of bloody should haves, we are still playing the same bloody narrow crap, what they call chances is just picking up scraps. Goals and clean sheets win matches, narrow, negative, frightened teams win bugger all as we are proving week in, week out.
