Using that logic you'd sell all eleven if the price were right.....and guarantee relegation.

Did he? I haven't read that. He's quoted here. Maybe things changed between then and now. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/liverpool-transfer-news-dejan-lovren-on-verge-of-switch-from-southampton-9629529.html

It's a concern that Koeman didn't want to lose Lovren and didn't want to lose any more than the three that had been sold but recognised it was a decision for the Board. Yet it would appear Lovren will be sold.

Mine watched Mama Mía.....again.

The advert that killed the brand. Whereas bellends never die.

Agree, though neither would I be like him to join Pochettino at Spurs. You are right about FFP in your earlier post. A point that does indeed kept getting overlooked.
-
Do you honestly think that Koeman, with his track record and reputation, has come to a club whose "ambition has gone down the pan"?
-
Crap. He's got scousers singing in his ear.

It's not just you. I've said so above, or below if you're upside down. Domino effect.

The club wants to keep him. He's a key player. He wants to go to Liverpool, for chills down the spine or something, just like the others.

Those comments make your blood boil. We can only guess at what's gone on but I believe Pochettino has a lot to answer for. I find it hard to believe that the club didn't keep Pochettinno informed throughout what was inevitably a period of uncertainty with all the boardroom changes. The players remained motivated after Cortese left. Once the players knew Pochettino was going (was it April like he says?), we get this whining about the plan and they all want to move to Liverpool. Oh, and if the aim was Euro league at least, why did Pochettino say he wasn't interested in qualifying for it?

Not a shirt wearer but I'm glad the stripes are back even if the shirt is a tad over designed and a slightly odd shade of red.

How much will we have to shell out? Too slow. That's me done.

They get paid for negotiating contracts.

Nobody cares why. In any case, players will say whatever suits their purposes. It's what happens next which is important.
-
This is the problem. It might cost him a few bob in the short term, though even then he could just get a sick note like Osvaldo, but the club will probably think all things considered it's better to sell him. I just hope he ****s off abroad.

Bit rosy.

I'd jump at the chance. You get well paid, well looked after, top facilities, and you improve so much you might get to play for your country in the World Cup, and when that's over you move on to a club that pays you more money and you play in the CL.

Great..........oh, is he any good?

Clearly has leadership qualities and I agree that it sets a good example to others coming through the system. Unfortunately, Lallana has set a precedent...

Steven Davis. Captain of NI. Formerly captain of Glasgow Rangers. Always professional on and, as far as I can tell, off the pitch.

Interesting that he plays most of the game with his back to goal. What I'd like to know, and the article doesn't tell me, is what transformed him from a striker with a poor goal scoring record into a prolific striker at Feyenoord. This would give us an indication of how we might play next season, should we sign him.
