The company I work for has just raised their prices by 2 and a bit % so the price with VAT is the same ... and I know many many firms are doing the same ... its 1. Legal 2. Makes more profit 3, Saves changing all the price stickers.

Speaking as ex-plod I know there are some coppers out there who enjoy/revell in a bit of aggro. And the bosses know it, so these are the ones who undergo public order trainining. Subsequently they are the ones used in any potential public order situations, like football control. Get an arrest, its bit of cudos, and loads of overtime doing all the paperwork. Its a win-win situation for them. Have a bit of aggro/fun and get paid for it, with the chance of some overtime. However you have to put yourself in their sights to get aggro. Been away many times, always wear the shirt. Have never had any bother with these idiots because I dont give them reason to. Dont give them reason and you will have a good time (results excepted)

It is obvious to me the heart has been ripped out of this club. Few go to matches and no one has the desire anymore to protest about what is happening on and off the pitch. No one can be bothered to protest about Lowe or his cronnies. No one can be bothered about any of it anymore. Simply no one has any fight left in them.

EUELL was at his usual standard, wouldn't have found a saints player with a pass if he had played all night ... Absolutely poor, as a senior player you expect more, but he has been out for a while.... If he plays this badly he wont play again either..

Watched the reserves Wednesday, and both the wife and I thought he was Millwalls best player. Quite quick and, yes, a left winger.

To add the team are also donating their match fees bonuses etc to the club.... makes you think about other teams in trouble doesn,t it.

I was at salisbury yesterday ... not quite the whole story has been relayed. Salisbury have had a quite meteoric rise through the divisions over the last 7 or so seasons and are in fact a victim of their own success ,,, higher leagues mean higher quality facilities etc are demanded by FA ,,, Health and safety Nazis etc.... so their costs in 7 years have grown from about £100,000pa to £1M pa ... they have already got in place budget for £900,000 this year but need £100,000 to break even ... so the need for £100,000 .... Its not a case of going into administration .... its a case of the club asking the fans to help keep the club going at a level which they are still doing well at ... 6th place so far this season despite a bad last 3 matches..... the directors have been putting their hands deep in their wallets but they. dont want to destroy a good squad. As for spending above their means, this is wrong, they did get a couple of players from Luton but on frees and loans, and then their wages were poor compared with Luton ...but Luton were bust and were not paying them anyway .. better some money than none. Most of Salisbury squad are long term Salisbury players.. the exspense is not the playing staff, its the other associated costs of being promoted several times.

Couldn't have put it better myself.. The lads tried harder than all those 'hasbee' last season, They had improved since Cardiff as well. I think when they get it together properly and someone learns to be a striker, we will do well against a lot of teams in this league. Some of the best footballi have seen at Stmary's in a long time in that first half ... but with another striker (Rasiak) going on loan are strike force is getting even weaker than it already was.
