  1. All their players are crocked James, Webber and hreidarsson all injured with last two being stretchered off.
  2. I love this quote from Avram on O'Hara playing against Spurs in the semi. "But if you are not in a top team it is not often that you get to a semi-final at Wembley, especially at Portsmouth, and Jamie wants to play this semi-final very much." "I can promise Tottenham that he will not score against them." Surprised he can get away with saying that and I think he has made that promise to quite a few teams this season, going by the amount of goals they have scored.
  3. He is at it again with the sob story just in time for the game tomorrow http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/10/03/26/SOCCER_Portsmouth_Nightlead.html
  4. Doesnt this whole loans cant play for their parent clubs thing stem from Portsmouth anyway when they had Lua Lua on loan from Newcastle and he managed to score against them, Bobby Robson was not happy and it all changed soon after that. Completely different competition but was surprised to see Hleb playing against Barcelona the other day in the champions league.
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/q/qpr/8587708.stm I thought they released him? wonder if QPR are paying his wages.

And I can't sail my yacht he's taken ev'rything I've got; all I've got's this sunny afternoon. Save me save me save me from this squeeze
  12. Someone finally did it then. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Portsmouth-City-Football-Club-Ltd_W0QQitemZ190369798802QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_D
  13. Just have to look at this thread on one of their sites that is ment to be a good laugh to see what some of their super fans are like. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424&fid=203&sty=2&act=1&mid=2123013099
  14. Bigging himself up for bringing Begovic to the club, but has nothing to do with bringing in the owners.
  15. Just reading on that pompey chimes website that some bloke reckons its all a terrorist plot you couldnt make it up. "I am ready for the many rebuttals I may receive, but we are all intitled to an opinion, so here goes: Terrorism doesn't just have to be about fighting a war. The financial uncertainty after 9/11 was felt around the globe as the US scurried for cover. maybe they are hitting Britain a different way, but harming a public way of life is still terrorism even if no bullets are fired (difficult to prove too) When you consider the complete mismanagement of the club since the recent takeovers (escalated from Sacha'a fated reign) could there be more to this than meets the eye: Consider the current war on terror and you'll find an enemy that might be manoevering a master plan to un-hinge the stability of our 'leisure and pasttime' as a way of life. While we are wining militarily due to batter equipped and trained forces, we are currently losing the media war on terror as the enemy just has to threaten the Allies and the people get scared to fly etc.... (mainly this side of the pond) and the economics goes haywire. If a premiership team was to go out of business, how would it affect the rest of the football world, especially in the UK? If Pompey don't try and pay bills, it will be a very public disaster (already is) but nothing too harmful as we are an unassuming club that no one would notice until too late. With so many Prem and almost all lower league teams in debt, economists have been saying for a while that the 'house of cards' will fall after the first 'big' club goes out of business. Not administration, but completely gone. Pompey don't even look as if they're trying to pay bills, just putting out fires till the time is right and all attention is on them. Is it a coincidence that we've found two people from Dubai and Saudi Arabia who don't have any money between them, yet have walked in financial circles ...... and what religeon are they again (I understand and accept that 95% of Muslims are just like us and don't consider themselves at war with Christianity)? If not financially, they will beat us by numbers within 3 generations at the current birth rate (UK is 1.78 and Muslims around 6.7 - rate of birth needed to amintain population 2.11) Just do the maths and see how scary that ratio is."
  16. They have 3 subs on the bench tonight by the looks of things, few more assests they dont want to get injured.
  17. His twitter page has dissapeared.
  18. Also, wasnt he at Bristol Rovers for a few years im sure he cant mind living in the south that much.
  19. Does this only being allowed to play for 2 clubs in a season rule apply just in England, or would Boateng be able to say play in Germany or Holland?
  20. The sky preview is awful, http://www.skysports.com/football/match_preview/0,19764,11065_3223737,00.html "David Connolly is pressing for a place up front at the expense of Morgan Schneiderlin." "The Saints will be without Graeme Murty until the end of January, the defender's ankle injury meaning Dan Harding could enjoy an extended run in the team."
  21. Do they know something we dont, Isnt the replay with Luton tonight? Might have a bet on them to win now.
