  2. Absolutely no chance they'll get him for £17M If that figure's correct and we haven't already rejected it, it's either because we're not going to bother replying at all, or we're just waiting to eat up transfer window time and leave them with less to play with and push his value up.

  4. It's been @lukeshaw3 since at least February, that's when I last edited the useful info post with all the players' Twitter handles. I did have to change it from @lukeshaw_3 at one point ages ago.
  5. If I recall correctly, Pompey were reported to be after him as well
  6. Reaction on RedCafe is hilarious, along the lines of 'how dare they value him higher than our first bid' and 'we should go and buy someone else to spite them now' All comes down to how much they're willing to pay to not have to wait four years or to risk someone else buying him first. We don't want to sell, he's on a long contract, his value is expected to keep rising, and with Man Utd. not having European football next season, I don't think Shaw is going to try and force a move through this window. He's getting a World Cup spot playing for us. If next summer United can offer him Champions League football again, they might have more luck. Biggest risk of him leaving this window imo is if Chelsea offer him first team football and make him want to move.
  7. When we bought Lambert for £1m 5 years ago... if you'd told me he would drag the team to the Premier League and play his way into a World Cup squad... Similar story with Lallana! And for Shaw to be the youngest ever defender England have called up to the World Cup... Huge congratulations to all of them, very proud to be a Saint right now
  8. Feel an odd sort of pride having played for a Sholing Tyro team, even though there's no affiliation
  9. I love our current badge, not least because you can tell it's us just from the shape of it.

  13. It's still possible for us to be in a local derby against Bournemouth next season, while Pompey could be in a local derby with, um, Eastleigh...
  14. On our part, it's less hatred, and more pity, contempt, and no small amount of epicaricacy.

  16. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26931337 Unexpected to say the least.
  17. Was a great race yesterday. Yes, we have a team far out in front, but at least it looks like we have a good battle within that team, as well as plenty of overtaking and battles down the field.
  18. I don't think there should be any input from teams (ie. no challenges or reviews) but I do think there should be measures to try and ensure the cameras are independent, and that the officials should be able to use the information from the cameras in their own decision making.

  21. Also in the August 2012 match!
  22. I think he'll still be here next season. He's got four years left on his contract, seems to be happy here, and another year of improving and playing consistently will probably see his value go up more than the difference between 4 years left on his contract and 3 years left on his contract will bring it down. After that, it'll depend on how Saints have done next season I reckon, whether he'll start wanting to leave.
  23. Depends if the clause (if it ever existed, and was/is still valid) was sold to the new company that's now Portsmouth as part of the Admin process.
  24. Mutual consent is the term usually used when a manager has agreed to accept a reduced (not usually none) compensation fee.
