The way I'd do it would be to have a 5th official with access to the video. If the referee hasn't seen something clearly or isn't sure, he can ask the video referee for advice and to review while the game continues, if required. That way, the only impact on the game is that some decisions take a bit longer before the game is pulled back, but end up being correct more often. The power remains in the hands of the referee, and the game isn't interrupted by requests for decisions to be reviewed.

Hats off to them. Never thought I'd see them in the Premier League, but they've well and truly proven that wrong.

The MotoGP race was really good, but if you get a chance, watch the Moto3 race that was on earlier the same day, that was even better!
-
Indeed he has. By himself no less. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/forum/141919/page:2#.VRk9wynsdO6 What a plank.
-
I dunno, it did take him TWICE as many touches to score for England as Lambert
-
Wow. That's probably beaten Lambert's record.

What do you know, miracles do happen. Their youth system has produced an international player! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31908039

Sorry! Was automatically filled in. Fixed now.

Could have won, could have lost, in the end a point a fair result (and a good one!)

Ah, makes more sense, had got the wrong end of the stick. Nick Awford has had his contract cancelled. Apologies
-
Hm, odd considering recent results. Seems that Awford is no longer manager.

Knew it was only a matter of time with his COPD, but... RIP

Aye, BBC have seen the exact same thing. http://www.bbc.co.uk/editorialguidelines/page/guidance-language-full#Changing%20Language:%20Use%20and%20Acceptability

As long as you're using it in the context of someone buying and selling hardware, you're probably ok with that one.

That very word was the reason I put 'or any derivatives'.
-
If you have an issue with it, I'm afraid you'll have to take it up with Steve, as I can't do anything about that. It doesn't mean that 'mong' is acceptable though.
-
Obviously not. From that page; "a shortening of mongol" And researching the facts one layer deeper... http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/mongol The reason it's so offensive isn't because it's offensive to the person it's being used against (although that's enough reason for it to not be used in its own right), it's because the use of the term as an insult is offensive to those with Down's Syndrome, implying that they are an insult, just by being who they are. If anyone is still in doubt, ask yourself why it's never used on television, not even after the watershed. Surely a four letter, one syllable mild insult would be a perfect substitute to use, if it were acceptable? Obviously, it's pretty difficult to talk about the topic in hand without using the word at all, but the use of 'mong' or any derivatives on this forum as an insult will not be tolerated.

OK, that helps a bit too.

Can't remember being this ****ed off after a game before. Usually I'm over a loss by the time I get to the end of the road walking home from the stadium and ready to look forward to what's needed next, but still sat here 24 hours later feeling wound up. Got a feeling it'll take a while longer yet. Watching this for a while helps a little bit.
-
And he's still a ****end I see. No doubt he'll get the boos and jeers and worse, but we should chuck in "we're just too good for you" as well, especially if we're winning and preferably after Wanyama has knocked him on his backside for the 3rd or 4th time.

Birmingham parent company into administration
Jimmy_D replied to Winchester Red's topic in The Saints
What else is there under the parent company? Is it just the football club? -
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31446066 La Liga's President talking of switching to collective bargaining to try and compete. Could see that seriously hurting Barcelona and Real Madrid, at least in the short-medium term.
