The main reason Martin Samuel got such a negative reaction to the initial article was that it came across that Saints' good transfer window and subsequent fantastic start to the season was all down to luck, and that they deserved no credit for it.
Really does feel like we're in with a chance of beating last season's finish right now!
Feels like the deeper squad might earn us more that a few points, we're already seeing the benefit.
Considering a certain former manager of theirs has this sort of view... maybe we can see where it went wrong for them...

If he comes back having played regular football, got a bit of form and confidence, could work out well for Hull AND us.
