  1. ... Solent have got to be kidding.
  2. Sounds like they might have scored too soon against us.
  3. Both teams getting the odd chance, reckon we're the more likely to take one eventually.
  4. Brizzle might be on a run of good form against teams near the bottom of the table, but we're on a better run of form including the best two teams (apart from us of course!) in the table. We have NO reason to not be confident.
  5. Dug this little gem out from near the start of the thread... surely time for it to be updated?
  6. Well... that might be an issue, agreed.
  7. Just point him at this thread!
  8. Tiny little thread in The Lounge already covering this.
  9. 100 points for Saints in the calender year... almost seems worth going in fancy dress for the last away game of the calender year. Police uniforms anyone?
  10. In thousands of years, when the data archaeologists dig through the remnants of the first Internet, they'll find this thread... and think we made it all up. I can see Pompey fans finding it harder to argue that most people don't see Pompey as criminal now that their owner actually has an arrest warrant against him.
  11. It's all a bit moot, as they won't be singing much of anything after we go 2 or 3 ahead.
  12. Something along the lines of "that's your next manager" in reply to them singing that song? (to the tune of "that's why you're going down")
  13. Agreed, as long as we take care of what we do, 'control the controllables' as Adkins puts it, it really doesn't matter what anyone else does. I'd hope that's the exact attitude the players take (and it appears that they do). Doesn't stop us fans from hoping the other teams mess their own chances up though...
  14. West Ham have a tricky game at home to Derby, while Boro have an even trickier game away to, uh, the other Boro... (Peterborough v Middlesbrough) As long as we put in a good perfomance and manage to get the win, I can see us extending our lead at the top.
  15. I don't think he'll ever be a tournament player for England, but I do think it's possible he'll earn a cap, a bit like Kevin Davies did.
  16. Yeah, Milwall were giving them too much space in midfield, they won't get that luxury against us.
  17. Brilliant start for Appleton. One game in charge and he's already managed to halve the gap Pompey had above the relegation zone!
  18. The whole team is incredibly fit, constant movement on and off the ball not only creates space for us, but also closes down space for the opposition. Not only that, but we have a lot of players with the technical ability to really make USE of that space we create.
  19. If we do get promoted this season, and he manages to step up again, never mind doing well in the Prem, I can see him breaking into the England team, a bit like Kevin Davies did.
  20. I would join in with that chant
  21. Poll added for you. Hard to argue with the hat trick hero for me, although once again it was a great team performance.
  22. Was well outside the box, but the ref had a shocker... one of the few games where the ref managed to get both sets of fans hopping mad. Probably just about evened itself out in the end, but I'd be amazed if he's refereeing a game next week.
  23. The shot WAS going in. I had a perfect view in line with the path of the ball in the Chapel/Kingsland corner and the keeper tipped it round. How a goal kick was given....
  24. 20 points and 24 goals better off after 17 games... Awesome ^^

Wait... was that the referee from THAT Leeds game? I said today was the worst reffing I'd seen since that Leeds game, didn't realise it was the same one! It wasn't bad because it seemed biased today... it was just terrible... the number of decisions that he got wrong just kept mounting up and up and up >_
