I think Chaplow off a two week rest will destroy their passing game and we'll win quite comfortably. If they try and sit back like they did last time I reckon we've got enough to unlock them now.

There's a tiny little thread in The Lounge that deals with this sort of stuff...

I like how there are so many Pompey fans waxing lyrical about how good an appointment a coach they'd never heard of until 5 minutes ago would be. Also... so you like it better when no-one replies? The very post after you used up one of your three posts for the day trying to get replies? The only one getting embarrassed here is you Corp.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15616925.stm Is it just me, or does Roy Hodgson sound like a saleman in that article?

More like any credibility you once had has long since evaporated. It really doesn't matter whether you're right or wrong any more. The fact you're so desperate for us to comment suggests you're trying to convince yourself as much as us. That's ok, you can keep burying your head in the sand, we'll keep watch. How's your search for a new manager going; surely you're at least fulfilling the first requirement of him having Championship experience right?

So you think those teams that won those titles way back then could compete in today's football? Heh.
-
Yes, yes, pfc... you've stabilised back to your normal status of having outgoings that exceed income... with your bumper crowd of 14k (still below what you need to pay the CVA, btw) due to the return of Cotterill, you must be really confident about your future.

Ironically, despite how much everyone moans about it, the non-3pm kickoffs are to protect the 3pm kickoffs, as it allows games to be shown on TV around the 3pm blackout that encourages people to actually go and attend a local game instead of just watching the football on the TV.

£2k a week!? He's probably taking a pay cut if he does go!
-
Jeez, so we're STILL the last team to beat Huddersfield?
-
Get Jos in permenantly, and possibly a backup centre back, depending on how long it's expected before Seabourne is back. I don't think we need another attacker, but we can always get one in on loan if we get injuries.

West Ham were very very lucky, scored with their only two shots on target, and managed to keep fourteen shots on target from Hull out.
-
I'm personally pretty happy that every single goal of every single league team gets shown. Used to be that you'd be lucky to see all the goals on the local evening news, as they wouldn't always show them all, and if you missed it, you were stuffed as YouTube and iPlayer weren't around then... The first couple of seasons after dropping out of the Prem and away from MotD (or The Premiership on ITV >_

This one's a good read as well. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/England/ChampionshipLeague.html After each game, it simulates the rest of the season a million times, then posts the chances of each finishing position, our chances will be slightly better as today's results haven't been added yet.

Have to admit, when we went 4-2 up, the Posh game did come to mind!
-
Aye. I can't remember the last time we had a boring mid table season, we always seem to be chasing playoffs, or promotion, or battling relegation...
-
Don't know about anyone else, but I always look for opposition views of the game. It's a habit I picked up during history lessons, to always try and get more than one perspective, especially if I haven't seen it first hand.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/championship/8869952/Coventry-City-2-Southampton-4-match-report.html We're already promoted according to the Telegraph Sub-headline: "Read a full match report of the Premier League game between Coventry City and Southampton at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday Nov 05 2011."

What's going on at Boro?
-
True. Birmingham are bound to have trouble with fixture congestion. Is it just me or has Adkins started to lose his voice today?
-
You never bet on Saints to win?
-
Not to mention we're 12 points clear of 7th.
-
Derby tripping up was a nice bonus. Can't see Watford getting anything from Boro but stranger things have happened.

How the heck did West Ham win 2-0? They only had 2 shots on target, Hull had 14!
