Their lineup apparently: Green, O'Brien, Taylor, Faye, Reid, Tomkins, Noble, Collison, Faubert, Vaz Te, Cole
So no Maynard by the look of it.
Feeling confident. It is Saint Valentine's Day after all
So it looks like they're going to use the advance parachute money to fund administration instead of using it to pay back HMRC...
Probably gives them a slightly better chance of survival, IF permission to enter admin is granted.
Considering their problem is day to day cash-flow, rather than repayments on debt, I'm not sure how it'd help though.
They do seem to be getting more bitter and vengeful towards us 'scummers' as the end draws near don't they?
Funny how quickly it's gone from them having a billionaire owner while we were on the brink of extinction to... well... the complete opposite.
Their fans seem to think that Chanrai will eventually have to accept a lower value, a buyer will come in, and everything will be ok.
Trouble with that is, there's no value in buying Pompey, only liabilities, so even a tiny amount for Chanrai from liquidation could well be more than any buyer is willing to pay.
Not so sure there aren't costs they incur with the game not going ahead.
For example the programs will have to be reprinted, and a lot of the catering supplies will have to be thrown away.
Oh hey look, a nice round number of pages.
As it's now starting to look more and more likely, I'm now wishing our resident Pompey supporters the best of luck with plan B.
I genuinely mean that, the derby games, as rare as they are, are the games I absolutely look forward to most, and I'd like there to be at least the remote chance that at some point in the future, there's a chance they could happen again.
Way too busy now.
The headlines being on the right used to make sense, as the tables etc, further to the right looked seperate. Now that they've bought the whole lot together a bit more, having the headlines right down the middle of the page just looks odd.
There's very little incentive for a Pompey player to leave.
Either they stick around, and their high wages keep getting paid if Pompey somehow survive, or Pompey go under, and they can join a club on higher wages than they would have due to no transfer fee.
Really good perfomance from the players, especially in the second half.
Ref was weak.
Would have taken those results at the start of the night, but a bit disappointed we're not top at the end of it.
