The thing that gets me about "it's not the fans fault", is the one-sided thinking behind it. Of course it is true that most fans had, and have, no influence over the way their club is run, but then that is just as true in good times as it is in bad. By the 'not our fault' reasoning, PFC fans also had no part in their cup win. They can't expect to revel in the glory of a cup win that also 'was not their fault', then just step away from the consequences of buying that cup with a 'not our fault' Exactly my view.

Would make a brilliant chant that one.

There's only so much the FL can do. This is money that Pompey would have normally got anyway had they not gone into administration. There's still no guarantee they'll even make it to the Saints game at the moment. Of course it suits everyone to let the fans think they'll make it to the end of the season because it reduces the risk they'll all kick off at some point.

26, Bitterne. First game, 2-1 win against West Ham at The Dell, we scored, Frank Lampard equalised, and then we scored the winner, right in front of me as I was sat behind the goal. Never could figure out why I remember West Ham's scorer and not ours!

I'd had my collector's edition copy pre-ordered from Game for months. Then I got an email saying it wouldn't be honoured and I'd get a £5 voucher instead. Apparently it's because they simply don't have the credit to buy copies to sell on, and they lost their insurance to be able to sell back copies they don't sell. Thought I'd get it from Amazon instead, stupidly thought I'd order it the next morning, by which time it was sold out, mostly to people selling it for 2-4 times the price on ebay. Luckily the next day I saw it go up for sale on Play.com during a break at work and got my order in about 20 minutes after they started selling it. 20 minutes after that it was sold out there as well. Crazy, Game have completely lost my trust and I won't be buying from there again. Sadly I think this might be a pretty hefty nail in Game's coffin.
