So what would Russia’s plan be to invade the UK and ‘steamroll’ our military alone?
-
Obviously pretty limited opposition, but for the first time in a very long time, it actually felt like we were relatively comfortable in a game at St Mary’s!
-
Get in and **** you ref.
-
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, although we were unlucky that literally every mistake ended up in the back of the net.
-
Not much wrong with the tactics or even the performance today, just a combination of woeful (and unlucky) finishing have let Swansea commit daylight robbery to steal a point from absolutely nothing.
-
We’ve played better than that and lost this season, and owed a bit to a ref that actually wasn’t trying to screw us over at every opportunity for once, but right now I don’t care Hopefully that’s the spark that Stewart needs to finally be the striker we were hoping he could be when we bought him!

Yeah, 1991 is the standard response to anyone that still wants to bring it up. Bradley just seemed to want to be angry. Rose going up and down for a birdie through about 4 cameras, 12 trees and 4 power lines after being made to play, and then Bradley still complaining about something was one of the funniest moments of the weekend.

And after that final half they can’t even complain about the envelope rule
-
Decent game, excellent finish by Armstrong, disappointing result.
-
Good performance, deserved more.

Can only imagine Fulham fans will be raging after this. It’s bad enough just sat here watching as a neutral.
-
Ridiculous match!

What is it with Saints and pinging absolute screamers in the League Cup? This feels like it's been a very useful run out for us.
-
I know. It’s almost like I was saying that not taking the chances we did create cost us the points today.
-
Plus one just over the bar, their keeper making a fantastic save low to his right, and Robinson hitting the post twice.
-
Did you miss how many times we were on the end of those crosses and just missed?
-
Created more than enough chances to win that, didn’t take them, and got done by a smash and grab off of one break giving us too much to do.
-
Going to Spurs perceived as the fallback option for a target they lost to Arsenal... that wouldn't be the easiest environment for a young player to develop, or to win over their fans. Just based on what the consensus is at youth levels on what he could end up being for England, I hope he ends up in a team where he's given every chance to reach that (hopefully us!)

We're bidding whatever his value drops by this season to have him playing for us this season. At the moment, that's more than Everton are willing or able to afford, and Everton aren't a big enough draw for him to force his way there (and earn the associated reputation that comes with pulling a move like that). It's gambling on a known very high quality young player being willing to put the effort in (even if that's just to ensure he gets the move he wants) and improve his consistency, against gambling on being able to bring in a brand new player (or players) and then those players being able to fit in and give us as much or more on the pitch.

Not a terrible result away from home. Good to see Dibling on the pitch.
-
The club has never had more money being put into it. It’s been recruitment and replacing players that have left (and the luck needed for that) where it hasn’t worked so well the last few years.
-
Ah. That brings back memories of playing Striker 95, with Westhampton’s star player being Matthew Le Tissue if I recall correctly
-
Not the prettiest performance, but we’re through! Would have been the easiest game in the world for a player that’s not committed to go missing in, but we got the exact opposite from Fernandes.
