  1. Getting a scuff on the top of the ball was in his favour too.
  2. I liked the use of VAR in that game myself. It caused some delay, but nothing excessive and it made the refereeing more accurate. It’ll take some time for everyone to get used to rules being enforced that accurately, but as long as it’s consistent from here on in I can only see it as a good thing.
  3. Defended by a Danso In our Ralph's formation You just can't beat him in the air
  4. Sounds like we've managed to give the Black Box a decent technical tap this summer.
  5. Haha, imagine the scenes if we just unveiled Bale out of nowhere now. (Disclaimer: Not ITK. This is just a random thought of my own. This is intended for entertainment purposes only and any hope/optimism is taken at your own risk.)
  6. Still nothing one way or the other on Saints Twitter.
  7. It is true that we do normally get an accurate tweet along those lines.
  8. Except for any Saints players, past or present, where the default setting is "Liverpool actually are interested".
  9. Your best bet is to use the lost password feature to reset the password to something you'll remember. https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/login.php?do=lostpw Passwords aren't stored in a way that they can be read by anyone, for security reasons.
  10. https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2019-07-28/highlights-feyenoord-southampton-pre-season-friendly-1920 Should be able to watch extended highlights here, just need to register if you haven't already.
  11. That'll probably go down about as well as the plans to paint the Spinnaker Tower red.
  12. I've also noticed that, the favicon is the default one now instead of the Saints badge.
  13. Can't help but like Crouch Fair to say he's always been a better footballer than he's been given credit for! Seems to be the impression of him for a lot of people was as a big man used mainly for his height (which he could do), but he was actually better with the ball at his feet. I was there when he scored a hat-trick for England against Jamaica! (Scoring the third after he'd missed a penalty) That Peter Crouch Podcast is a good listen, I recommend a listen if you haven't already.
  14. Certainly hasn't been the best summer for Newcastle so far.
  15. Can't say I'd be sorry to see West Ham lining up against us without Arnautovic!

    Che Adams

Sounds like they might have needed the money before 1 July and that's bought the fee down a bit. Surprised there hasn't really been any rumours of anyone else seriously being in for him to be honest.
  17. Decent money for a player in a position we're strong in, especially if Hasenhuttl thinks Vokins is ready to break through. Looks like we're already spending that money pretty well too.
  18. Well, one of em will be for ten years! https://southamptonfc.com/news/2019-06-28/season-ticket-for-10-years-competition Can't imagine it'd sway anyone that wasn't already planning to buy one, but that's not the point of it. Hard to believe it's been all but ten years since Marcus saved the club. Until then I'd started to consider whether I'd support Eastleigh or Sholing as my local team if the club had actually gone under. Instead of that, that was the season I started to buy a season ticket every year, and I got to have the most fun I'd ever had supporting Saints I'll always be grateful to him for that.
  19. Having to go up against a player that tricky and quick could be an absolute nightmare this season for opposition defenders, with VAR coming in
  20. 8M? Double that and we might think about picking up the phone these days.
  21. Countless teams have been ‘bad for football’ over the years by dominating, often by outspending their rivals. Nothing lasts forever.
  22. Guessing because the first one wasn’t originally given to Sterling.
  23. Getting the first ever domestic treble is an amazing achievement, especially considering they beat a team with 97 points into 2nd place for the league leg of that treble.
  24. Whether you think playoffs are fair or not, time and time again they produce utterly incredible matches.
