My gut feeling is that this is mostly agent driven, seems to make more sense than any other option. Probably he's taken a disappointing start to Saints career, plus Leeds absolutely desperate for a striker and willing to pay most of our costs so far, and Adams possibly willing to move down a level and closer to home, and is presenting player wants the move to Saints and Leeds in an effort to get them to deal and give himself a payday. Hasenhuttl is seeing the potential in Adams and must think that him coming good is more likely than being able to bring in a new striker that'll perform better, so for his part of the transfer committee is against the move, with the club willing to back him on that.

It might have been the pass he was about to make... but he didn't. We had an awesome bit of build up play, followed by a defensive mistake, followed by a great finish. It's still an amazing bit of football we put together for it, but it feels incomplete in my book, in terms of greatest goal anyway.

Not that it makes the goal worth any less, but it’s a shame that last touch was off the Chelsea player for our second goal. That goes down as one of our best goals of all time without that.

Absolutely massive run of results, that's in effect a 12 point swing against our direct relegation rivals. We're still in a relegation battle, but we've found at least three teams that could well end up worse than us.

That has to be the first comfortable victory we've had in quite some time.

For this one game in isolation, madness, sure. But for a player that we’re absolutely reliant on for goals, with three games in a week and already having felt a twinge that he was taken off for in the game on Wednesday, I can understand him being cautious in trying to avoid losing him for longer, especially with his injury history.
