Hasenhuttl did well to give us a chance of getting at least a draw after half time but just didn’t run for us. We had the chances at least.
-
Amazing save there!
-
The amount of diving from Newcastle here is just embarrassing.
-
Newcastle just diving every time they’re challenged and the ref is falling for it every single time.
-
That's the best game of football I've seen in a loooong time. Two teams giving it all and one juuust coming out on top. Nice to see VAR stopping a game like that being decided by an incorrect decision, delighted to see it decided by the football.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47959743 Looks like it might actually be getting a bit more coverage this time, with a bit of luck.
-
I can see it being peak Liverpool for them to win all their games only to see City do the same.
-
They’ve let a non-footballing member of staff go. One that 99% of the time I’d forgotten was even at the club.
-
Played well, undone by a couple of mistakes and once again got ****ed on by the officials.
-
Plenty of times we've overturned the 'big six' without needing luck.
-
Actually looking forward to this one. This is basically a free hit for us and they'll be nervous, especially if we show any sort of threat and keep them out for the start of the game. Would make the season for me if we're the ones that ultimately kill off their chances of winning the title.

Haha, that’s just rubbing it in. Refereeing has been **** all round this season, and Saints have been on the **** end of it for more than their fair share. Cardiff really really hard done by there but at least it makes a change to see someone else on the end of it.

Great result Hasenhuttl showing just how much influence it’s possible for a manager to have.

Shocking news this morning that Charlie Whiting has passed away due to a pulmonary embolism. https://www.fia.com/news/fia-statement-charlie-whiting Gone way too young and a massive loss to motorsport. RIP

Perhaps a bit early for Gunn to force his way in, but Ward-Prowse can feel hard done by there. He's been in awesome form and the amount of running he puts in seems to fill a gap that England have. Thought he was more or less certain to be in the squad to be honest.

Wow That was actually the first time I’ve been in the stadium to see a win over Spurs! I don’t know what was said to them at half time but it must have been something Henry V would have been proud of. One nice benefit of coming back to win that, we can point out how monumentally **** Kevin Friend was without being accused of sour grapes.

Palace were playing a regimented defensive spoiling game, and hoping to catch us on the break. That made it scrappy, their goal came from about 4 or 5 defensive mistakes in a row, ours from one of the few times we actually managed to put a nice move together to unlock their defence. Ref had a game of two halves, gave us absolutely nothing the first half and was maybe evening it up the second? Looked like Zaha could well have been sent off the first half just for diving. Anyway, game of few chances and could have gone either way, on to the next one.
-
Could and should have been more comfortable at the end there, and it felt like the ref was desperate for them to score, but ultimately a very good win. Everton easily the worst team we’ve seen at St. Marys this season.
-
Well, my nails don't need cutting any more.
-
Well done Saints. Hell of a battling performance to pull that one out.
-
So, Puel is playing three holding midfielders against us, we're down to 10 men, and we're 2-0 up with Long on the scoresheet. It really hasn't been Puel's day so far

To be fair, a significant part of our current troubles can be traced back to the stink VvD created when we pushed back at Liverpool. When teams have cheated and convinced a player to turn against his own team, you're ****ed whichever way you decide to go. RBL's recruitment with Hasenhüttl and Paul Mitchell has mirrored ours to a certain extent when we were digging out gems seemingly at will. If we can start doing something like that again, I think we'd all enjoy that.
-
So, safely sacked while Harry Redknapp is on the other side of the world with no contact with the outside world? Hughes did a fantastic job of changing our mentality last season, and I've got no doubt we'd have gone down if he hadn't come in. I do think we've played a lot better than our results indicate this season, and there's been a hefty dose of bad luck in them, not least in the quality of refereeing we've had, but ultimately on paper our results have been terrible. Never any guarantees with a new manager of course, but our (expected) hiring of Hasenhüttl sounds interesting, especially if we can dig out a gem or two in January.
-
To be fair he scored a goal that should never have been disallowed.

Not mine, but it’s here for the moment at least. Looks like the FA are trying to suppress it. Idiots obviously haven’t heard of the Streisand effect.
