  1. You do realise that the “informal derogatory” part means that picture doesn’t help your case in the slightest, right?
  2. Ha! Handball? Against Watford that’s just karma.
  3. Well whaddya know, we’re not dead yet
  4. Guh. Well played Saints, unlucky lads.
  5. Played better than recently and came up with a decent result, especially considering our usual record after an International break. Game was a bit scrappy and could have gone either way, draw probably a fair result.
  6. You've watched Saints before this season then! It's not a coincidence that Saints have benefited more than any other team from VAR.
  7. Watch the highlights again? With Radio Solent commentary this time? Go on then.
  8. Gerrin! Their tactics were the only way they had any chance of getting anything, give it everything and hope to get a lead that they could try and hold on to with adrenaline and luck, but as soon as that failed, our superior class showed and there was only going to be one result. Ings will get the plaudits and rightly so, but Bednarek deserves a mention for stopping several very dangerous attacks in that initial surge Pompey tried.
  9. Sent off for two yellows the game before the derby? Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s **** himself and has taken himself out of it. Despite the setback against Bournemouth, we’re still doing pretty well this season in the Premier League. They’re struggling in League One. I’m fully expecting us to absolutely embarrass them.
  10. Haha, correct When was the last time we won the game immediately following an international break, before today?
  11. When was the last time we won after an international break?
  12. Beautiful goal!
  13. Some finish that... Gerrin
  14. What he did to save the club and keep us going when we were at our lowest will always be remembered and appreciated. It’s fair to say that without him, Saints might well not still be around. RIP
  15. Normally Ings would have Redmond in support. As well as we played for large parts of the game, his cutting edge could have made a real difference in attack today. Got to be happy with the point considering the injuries and going down to 10 for 20 odd minutes, but on another day we could well have won it playing that well.
  16. Ha, is anyone even going to notice what's going on in the game against Man Utd?
  17. If you can't look forward to a game at your biggest rivals when you're two leagues above them and haven't played them in years, are there any games you can look forward to?
  18. Get In! Bring em on!
  19. That'll do
  20. And relax
  21. Gerrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
  22. We weren't anywhere near as bad as the scoreline suggests. Burnley's goal on 63 minutes was their first shot on target, and it looked to me like the conditions had a huge role in them getting that chance at all. Before that Adams could easily have scored and Redmond forced a very good save when he cut in from the left byline. Most days you're expecting at least one of them to go in. That happens and we're probably looking at a decent result. The most disappointing part of today would have to be how we reacted to going a goal down.
  23. Bloody hell. Absolutely shafted by the wind there.
  24. It’s not pretty but it’s not the worst tactic to be trying in these conditions.
