But apart from them, what have the Romans ever done for us?
-
I doubt it, the original creditors wouldn't be granted anything against PFC (2010) Ltd as that's the new company. Northampton County Court is where many of the credit card debts go to court, Chinny maybe forget to pay the the credit card bill in his race to get the Russians in...

Andrew Davis playing as a trialist for palace tonight!
Gorgiesaint replied to jimbojones10's topic in The Saints
This ^^ ... plus there are far better options out there, including that swap deal with QPR. -
There's a bit in the Mirror this morning so probably a complete load of rubbish... http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Birmingham-financial-meltdown-Carson-Yeung-assets-frozen-player-sale-to-survive-new-Portsmouth-article776447.html#ixzz1THQS6LZH Not mentioned admin but could be difficult for them.

Well looks like they have some friends in high up places at River Plate. Been announced that there will be a re-shuffle of the leagues so that River Plate only spend one season (6 months) in the 2nd division. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/937489/argentinian-league-to-change-ahead-of-2012-13?cc=5739 Imagine if Man Utd get relegated and suddenly the Championship & the Prem League merged to keep them up. There'd be uproar.

Okay I may not be the most knowledgeable person about cricket on here, but when the shortest innings last 65 overs with a score of 171 (and it's the homes sides innings) that's hardly a sign of substandard wicket surely? Was it dangerous? no, not as far as I'm aware as it was 'excessive spin' (wtf?) Did it cause the game to not go the full distance? no - it was a draw and even had they not lost the first day to rain, it would have gone into the final day, Was it different for both sides? no, we both batted & bowled on the same pitch so what is the problem ? ah yes, we owe them dough for the Sri Lanka test! Edit: What would they make of that game at Old Trafford in the 50's against the Aussies, strip Lancashire of their right to play Ashes test because a spinner takes 19 wickets in a game? Jim Laker would be turning (or probably spinning) in his grave!

If he's disgruntled with us then we should tell him to take a look at how Arsenal are dealing with Fabregas!

Yes, I'd be taking my season ticket back because we start buying players with proven Premier League experience (even though its only mid to bottom of the table clubs). That said, its not immediately obvious where he would fit in, and I'm not sure the wages he would want would fit our structure.

BBQ sauce - wtf is that all about? Oh and while we're on things American, can anyone tell me why grits were invented? I've yet to find anyone (including any Americans I know) who know why they eat them. If I wanted to make my semolina taste like it's got sand in it then I'd cook it with sand in - but I don't!

James Beattie was at Southampton airport this morning....
Gorgiesaint replied to bigdavewatson's topic in The Saints
Spot on, I saw Beattie play for Rangers in one of the old firm games last season and I have to say it was shocking how poor he was. Now the touch may have gone because he wasn't getting many games but he was a long way from being match fit (and yes I am being kind to him). The worst thing was at times he didn't look interested. Now if he can't get himself up for a game of that magnitude then what hope have we got on a cold November night at Doncaster? Thanks for the memories beatts, but they are best left as memories. -
I'd heard that Chelsea's allocation was 4000 and that was sold out. That was reported by Talksport, so probably completely made up! Well plenty of additional Chelsea fans by the sounds of it!
-
Have to say shocks in all 4 quarter finals, with Colombia & Chile also falling with Brazil & Argentina. Looks like Uruguay will be favourites now but the way things are going, it could be any one of those four.

Love Andrew Cotter's comment on Twitter - "All right, Northern Ireland. Stop showing off." Delighted for Darren Clarke, a true gent and deserving winner.

Saints vs Saints (St Gallen) tonight
Gorgiesaint replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Terrible positioning if nothing else!! -
Okay If we're so wrong then why on earth do you bother Ho? You always seem so desperate to put us right, but you yourself acknowledge that you'll never manage it so why do you keep coming back?

FC Twente stand collapses - people trapped
Gorgiesaint replied to Doctoroncall's topic in The Lounge
One person has been killed according to one of the Dutch newspapers I read this afternoon, one initial report (still to be confirmed) was that a crane hitting the roof structure was the cause. Some of the photo's do show a crane very close, but again just initial speculation. -
Sorry Revolution Saint but I think you're wrong & Phil is spot on. Sure we'll find out more in due course but the rumours are that the name was registered at companies house and the website name were registered earlier in the week. Yet to see that confirmed but if true, would you still think Phil was embellishing the story? Watch Murdoch drop the Sun now, just so he can get his grubby hands on BSkyB.

Thanks both for your inputs. Sadly I think that will mean this thread carrying on to 2014/15 with them owing £16.5m and the internet will implode around SWF like a blackhole when they finally go pop. Hopefully Corpy will be able to borrow his wifes/sisters i-pad 12 to check in what happens! Ah well, plenty more laughs to go between now & then!
-
Not to mention that Bristol City are trying to negotiate a new contract with him.
-
s39 of the Childrens & Young Persons Act 1933 relates to the protection of the identity of juvenile defendants in court - how does that relate to this case? maybe another reason there is a media blackout http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children_and_Young_Persons_Act_1933

Just been announced on Talksport that Nugent has signed for Leicester City. also on the ticker on the BBC website
-
But now they've got new owners surely they have plenty of money to pay what they agreed, what with them running at a profit and all that!
-
So why were you going to make a £3m contribution then? Out of the goodness of your hearts!? You didn't raise £15m in player sales so you deferred it.... to the revised schedule which starts on 1st April 2012.
-
We made a profit by not paying some of our bills....
-
But the questions you should have been asking at the time were (1) how are we going to raise £15m in player sales? and (2) how hard did we try? Those schedules are the revised schedules having failed to raise the required £3m contribution. And in answer to your next question - you didn't raise £3m in player sales, let alone get near £15m to contribute £3m to the CVA.
