  1. Just £20 for the team entry fee.
  2. The more the merrier, on both counts
  3. Yes you do Assume you're aware that the consensus seems to be staying in hotels this year rather than the uni accommodation?
  4. If people are that desperate to go, they'll find a way. Always have done, always will do. For that particular weekend, South West Trains are running their winter sale promotion, so a return ticket to Waterloo is only £10. That would usually be around £30 (with a network railcard) or £25 with a Group Saver. Offset that against the ticket price and West Ham's a cheaper day out this season compared to last season.
  5. Venue details: Flanders Playing Fields, Napier Road, London, E6 2SG. Map 11:00 kick-off, arrive by 10:30 Nearest tube station is East Ham (District and Hammersmith & City lines), around 15 minutes walk, and that station is also one stop from Upton Park for the afternoon game.
  6. Don't go then
  7. Better late than never, I guess.
  8. Suspect they were tickets held back for scouts, sponsors, etc that haven't been taken up.
  9. Worth bearing in mind that Saints now charge away fans £40 for the Category A games.
  10. There are still some available through the Saints ticket office. Around 80 tickets in block 10 were made available this morning, no idea where they were returned from.
  11. No, that's The Betting Room, who didn't win the tender for in-stadium betting rights this season. Sporting Bet are slightly more reputable.
  12. Nor had the PL felt the benefit of the insane amount of cash available even to the team finishing bottom of the league through the broadcasting rights contracts. The parachute payments - which have always been significantly lower than the amount received for actually being in the PL - we received were £6.7m per year for two years. Pompey receive £10m this year, the FOURTH year since they dropped out of the top flight.
  13. No. Prospective presidents of Barcelona and Real Madrid require their own wealth in order to stand for election, and I believe have to have been a socio (i.e. member) for a number of years.
  14. Of course, nobody could have foreseen something like this happening when we signed him, not like he's got a history of training ground problems or anything...
  15. At least Phil Jones hit the target last night... assuming, of course, that he was aiming for that fan's face, of course
  16. Looking to get a game against West Ham's fans team on the morning of our game at Upton Park next month (22nd February). Kickoff likely to be 11am. For any newbies, this is 11-a-side, standard is pretty average so no real requirements on that front. Fitness is probably more important, but some of us even struggle with that these days Anyone interested in playing, please let me know Current Squad: Steve Grant Kev Thornton Steve Thornton Stu Holloway Andy Porter Chris Bulpitt Geoff Justice Ant James Ben Newton Julian Ganley Matt Marchant
  17. Seems I was wrong... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/appointment-of-interim-ceo-1310367.aspx
  18. Seems like strange timing to only now be kicking off about the Bath centre, when it's been running for the best part of 20 years. Also, I'd be absolutely amazed if we ever went as far as buying parents a house - I'm sure there are all sorts of incentives thrown in the direction of families of promising kids but until very recently we've never had the budget to go as far as that.
  19. The most amusing bit about that comment is that Allen has actually hit the "dislike" button
  20. Gareth Rogers left a couple of months ago, I believe.
  21. I doubt it serves their interests - they've probably already handed over this season's cash, so they might as well get the last few months' exposure for that money.
  22. It's worth bearing in mind that Zoopla's sponsorship deal with West Brom expires at the end of this season anyway. The sponsorship (especially at £3m a year) probably hasn't brought the tangible returns Zoopla were hoping for so I suspect they wouldn't have renewed in the summer regardless of the Anelka situation, and they've even managed to get themselves some lovely positive PR and publicity out of the situation as well. That's not to say they weren't within their rights to complain - of course they were, although the "demand" that Anelka be dropped was perhaps taking it a little bit too far.
  23. Received transfer fees are accounted for in the period in which the transaction takes place (e.g. if we were to sell Shaw for £30m in June, the full amount payable - not including add-ons - would appear in the "Profit on disposal of players" section of the accounts), which is significantly different to how transfer fees paid are accounted for. Essentially, that £30m would be football income and therefore counts towards the FFP calculations.
