  1. There will be big changes at some point in the next year or so, the newest "major" version of vBulletin is absolutely horrendous so I won't be upgrading to that. We'll be moving to a different provider.
  2. Sorry, but where do you think the vast majority of the newspaper bull**** over the last few days and weeks has come from?
  3. Nick, you're the master of the "we have to wait until both sides state their position publicly" cop-out. In the real world, it won't ever happen. At some point in time you have to decide, on the balance of probability, what you think happened and to form an opinion based on that. Benali has no need to tell everyone what happened - as far as he's concerned, he's allowed back at St Mary's, Cortese is no longer there, he'll want to just move on, he can't control what his daughter or Matt's son says on Twitter. Likewise, Cortese won't say anything publicly about it, why would he? From his perspective, it's a private matter.
  4. Interesting/amusing to see that the two big hitters in the Daily Mail's sports department aren't exactly singing from the same hymn sheet
  5. No, the ones in Southampton are SEAT, Skoda and Volvo, I think.
  6. Buying from a Jaguar dealer rather than a SEAT one? Seems a fairly safe decision
  7. That's nothing to do with profit, that's to do with the balance sheet. Completely different. The only thing that complicates the profit and loss account slightly is transfer fees paid, as they are spread equally over the duration of the player's contract regardless of what payment terms the club has agreed with the selling club. For example, if we signed someone for £10m on a 4-year contract, the "cost" of that signing (listed as "amortisation of player contracts" in the accounts) will be £2.5m per year, so even though we spent £10m, only a portion of that is accounted for initially.
  8. You can only buy P1-P4 through Fulham. The rest is on sale through the Saints ticket office, and went on general sale (so don't even need to be a ST holder) this morning. According to the online system, there are "Restricted View" tickets still available.
  9. It never got to court, NC settled shortly before the case was due to be heard. Absolutely right.
  10. Where has this been said?
  11. Surprising news, everyone in the national press was adamant he'd be leaving. Oops.
  12. Not very.
  13. The accounts for last season are due out by 31st March.
  14. Do we know if this is actually true? I've only seen it referenced in Neil Ashton's articles in the Mail and in Ben Smith's articles on the BBC, and considering both of those have been fed every leak out of the club in the last year by Cortese's PR man, David Bick, I'd be slightly reluctant to necessarily believe that's true without verification from another source.
  15. You go off and support the newly-formed Nicola Cortese FC, then, and we'll stick to supporting Southampton
  16. Markus' estate was worth around €3bn IIRC, £100m (generous estimate as you still have to find someone willing to pay) out of that is a drop in the ocean.
  17. You would like to assume that, if NC has been working his notice period for a number of months, KL has been working hard during that intervening period to either resolve the differences or find his successor, so an appointment in that regard might not be that far away considering we now have confirmation that the differences couldn't be resolved. The whole point of the structure of the club that has been in place and built upon over the last four and a half years is that it doesn't rely upon one individual - this period will be the biggest test of that.
  18. The agency run/owned by Alex Crook.
  19. On the face of it, it would seem the best time to do so as it would pretty much guarantee a profit. However, some journalists I follow on Twitter are suggesting that this isn't the case, that in fact KL wants a bit more control of her family's investment. Not an entirely unreasonable request, it's their money after all, but can also see why Cortese would be ****ed off, having had little to no interference in the preceding five years.
  20.   Seriously
  21. The answer is a resounding "yes", although I'm sure he knew that before asking the question.
  22. No you don't, the system asks you for it but you can actually enter the number without the DOB and it'll work
  23. Assuming you have their customer numbers, go into your "Friends and Family" section and add them. Then go back to the list of games, select the Fulham one and you'll be able to allocate tickets to them.
  24. They're on sale to all season ticket holders now (i.e. you don't need any previous away games), so you should be able to get them online.
