  1. Markus' estate was worth around €3bn IIRC, £100m (generous estimate as you still have to find someone willing to pay) out of that is a drop in the ocean.
  2. You would like to assume that, if NC has been working his notice period for a number of months, KL has been working hard during that intervening period to either resolve the differences or find his successor, so an appointment in that regard might not be that far away considering we now have confirmation that the differences couldn't be resolved. The whole point of the structure of the club that has been in place and built upon over the last four and a half years is that it doesn't rely upon one individual - this period will be the biggest test of that.
  3. The agency run/owned by Alex Crook.
  4. On the face of it, it would seem the best time to do so as it would pretty much guarantee a profit. However, some journalists I follow on Twitter are suggesting that this isn't the case, that in fact KL wants a bit more control of her family's investment. Not an entirely unreasonable request, it's their money after all, but can also see why Cortese would be ****ed off, having had little to no interference in the preceding five years.
  5.   Seriously
  6. The answer is a resounding "yes", although I'm sure he knew that before asking the question.
  7. No you don't, the system asks you for it but you can actually enter the number without the DOB and it'll work
  8. Assuming you have their customer numbers, go into your "Friends and Family" section and add them. Then go back to the list of games, select the Fulham one and you'll be able to allocate tickets to them.
  9. They're on sale to all season ticket holders now (i.e. you don't need any previous away games), so you should be able to get them online.
  10. People seem to be under a very odd belief that players sign for a club or remain at a club solely because of the chairman, rather than because of any combination of the facilities, the other players, the coaching staff, the money on offer and the likelihood of career progression and sporting success. If Cortese goes - and, let's face it, he will eventually, whether it's now or at some point in the future - then as long as whoever remains at the club can offer enough of those "features", players will continue to want to play for us.
  11. Those comments depend entirely on the questions asked to provoke them. If they're appearing on the OS, it's entirely possible that one of the questions asked is "so who persuaded you to join/stay?", to which the obvious answer is the chairman, as he conducts most of the negotiations.
  12. We're not privy to what that agreement is/was, so Blackmore getting fed a line that "agreements haven't been honoured" is a very one-sided view. Unfortunately, that's the only view we're going to get because the Liebherrs don't say anything - their prerogative, of course, but it can allow stories like this to spiral out of control when there may actually be nothing to it.
  13. I'd be laughing at the brass balls for trying exactly the same tactic as in the summer - get a different angle, FFS Would be very interesting if the Liebherrs had a succession plan in case they felt they wanted a change - after all, it's their money, they can do as they please - and decided to call Cortese's bluff.
  14. Did you seriously not see the topic at the top of the page that is already discussing this? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?48549-Cortese-to-go-at-end-of-season
  15. So all of the sources that said he was going last year have said he's going now and everyone's taking it seriously?!
  16. The PR people employed by the club have a history of regurgitating stories and tactics. This latest one doesn't surprise me in the slightest and I expect the same outcome (as mentioned above) - everyone "happily resolves their differences and moves forward as one". Move along now, nothing to see here.
  17. Le Tiss has never been banned, as far as I'm aware.
  18. When they've been embarking on a massive cost-cutting mission over the last 3 years that has seen the vast majority of their best players leave, probably not so attractive.
  19. Yep. Stoke tickets went on sale this morning. No purchase history required (unlike for the Arsenal game).
  20. Where in that article does he say he'll be taking legal action? All he's said is that "the matter is being addressed directly with him on my behalf", which basically means somebody's phoned him and asked him to backtrack. Not a cat in hell's chance any judge will be hearing anything about this.
  21. For now, yes. The Defamation Act has had some amendments made to it recently which makes legal action harder to take. That's not to say I'm treating it lightly, by any means, but it's an interesting story and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be discussed here. The Guardian has taken a similar line. Papers that get hundreds of thousands of hits per article have to continue to take a safety-first approach as any legal action would take into account how widely spread the alleged defamation was likely to have been.
  22. I expect to see about as much legal action as was threatened by Sam Allardyce and Harry Redknapp when Panorama accused them of dodgy dealings. I believe the BBC is still waiting for the papers to be served... must have got lost in the post.
  23. Correct. What passes for a concourse at the back of that stand (it's pretty much all out in the open) is tiny, so I wouldn't expect to get any food or drink at half time.
  24. My mistake. There was an overview page on their website earlier today which suggested that the whole Putney End was sold out. Looks like there's 26 seats still available in P4 (oddly clumped together in a big group), 15 in P2 and 19 in P1.
  25. A goal every 21 games, an impressive record
