  1. 3 would have made a blooming great profit TBH !
  2. Precisely !
  3. Didn't run like a 5/4 shot TBH, would have been much bigger than that in running.Still someone knew something and no doubt the horse was laid out for this.
  4. Yes, 281/5 was a decent score, 281/7 not so good and as I feared no Kabir Ali for Hants.

  9. Haha, Stevo in sarcastic comment shocker!
  10. The Mods as always are slow to respond but finally Arizona does and per usual states the obvious speaking for them all by saying they really do know it all and are never, ever wrong and heaven help anyone who begs to differ.
  11. I think at this point I know nothing and care even less !
  12. You mean pretty much like all of this thread
  13. Windsor 6.40 Beacon Lodge @13/8: Looks to be between the 2 class horses in the field, Beacon Lodge and Ordnance Row. Beacon Lodge showed bags of promise last season, winning twice, including French Group 3. Should have come on for recent reappearance at Sandown and though Ordnance Row ( won this race last year) cannot be discounted and indeed only ran on Saturday ( 6th at Haydock) I'm going to side with Beacon Lodge. 7.40 Soviet Secret @13/8 : Again not a great price but Soviet Secret made a pleasing start to his career when chasing home Diescentric in the Wood Ditton at headquarters last month and a reproduction of that effort should see home. The Soviet Star colt is related to some useful performers and the booking of Ryan Moore is another positive. This doesn't look a particularly strong race, the Richard Hannon trained Valiant Knight looking the main danger. I know Stkip is keen on Brandy Snap in the 5.40, has a very good draw and likely to put in a bold bid. However, Good Morning Dubai could be an interesting one here with Fallon booked to take the ride and a few quid ew at 16/1 might be worth a shot. That said I'm not certain enough to pick any as the probable winner and for me I'm inclined to watch and note what should be an informative race. MC does run 2 in the race in Chilworth Lass and The Thrill is Gone but the only real clue I can see on these two is that Alan Munro has opted to ride the latter. IF my hand was forced I'd just go for Brandy Snap with Good Morning Dubai chasing him home.
  14. Clearly not simple enough
  15. Monday arrives again and little to inspire from the day time cards, Windsor usually throws up a few good bets though. Brighton 4.40 Cheviot @3/1 ( Bet 365) : The Jarvis yard are in cracking form at present and though Cheviot is not absolutely sure to get the trip it seems likely that there is plenty more to come from this filly who is blinkered for the 1st time today. Ran very well last season and though disappointed on seasonal debut seems sure to come on for that run. Redcar 4.20 Vested Interest @around 9/2 ( BF) : Impressed on his last run at Yarmouth when a well backed favourite winning nicely. Still very unexposed, main concern is that he has not run since then, 312 days ago. However, 9/2 looks a fair price albeit I'll be playing to small stakes on this one. 5.20 Kanace NAP @ 7/2 ( Betfred) : Kanace failed to justify favouritism when well held in third at Bath last Tuesday but that effort gives him something to build on and trainer Ian Williams should be able to find races with him off his current mark. Revealed a good deal more of his ability following a 7-month absence (gelded) in the Bath race and the money he attracted that day suggests it was no surprise to some. He's taken to exploit a clearly attractive mark. NB Both Kanace and Vested Interest N/R's !
  16. This is all so fantastic it beggars belief: Firstly we would have to imagine Ladbrokes were ever taking bets on AP being sacked in the 1st place, highly improbable and I'm certainly not aware of there being any such market existing with Ladbrokes or any other bookmaker. Secondly and assuming there was any market in the 1st place betting is then suspended, again nothing to substantiate that either as far as I'm aware. Finally even if we allow ourselves to accept the above we're then supposed to believe Ladbrokes stated Hughes was the new manager. That really would be astonishing and is as likely as us winning every game for the next 4 years and at at the end of 2013/14 being crowned CL winners, PL winners for the 2nd time, FA Cup Winners and League Cup Winners for the 4th time in a row and throw in League 1 Champions and JPT winners 2010/2011, CCC wiinners 2011/12 and just for good measure a couple of UEFA Cup wins as well as we'd almost certainly qualify via the FA Cup. Wow, what a great fantasy, I'm sure I'm sleep typing TBH !! Oh and I nearly forgot that invariably if anyone starts a market on something like this it is Skybet and not Ladbrokes!
  17. Fun Boy Three as my own "tribute" to the main board : "The Lunatics (Have Taken Over the asylum)" "T'ain't What You Do (It's the Way That You Do It)" "Really Saying Something". "Our Lips Are Sealed" (from the album "Waiting" ) "The More I See (The Less I Believe)"
  18. GK - Hart, Green, James RB - Johnson, Neville CB - Terry, Ferdinand, Dawson, King ( though I think Upson might well be selected) LB - A. Cole, Bridge CM - Lampard, Gerrard, Carrick, J. Cole RM - Walcott, Lennon LM - Barry, Milner ST - Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Bent/Heskey
  19. This. NO WAY would Ladbrokes state who the replacement was even if AP was going and they knew who was replacing him ( they won't have a clue), heaven help us. The silly season is well and truly going into over drive !
  20. Well most of the ongoing threads have amusement value but precious little else
  21. I know, we're doomed
