A few more :
2.50 - Yarmouth:
Kingswinford - @ 6/1 (Betfred)
Cativo Cavallino e/w @ 20/1 (Sportingbet)
Although the booking of Ryan Moore for Kingswinford takes the eye, he hasn't won in eight previous attempts for this yard in recent seasons. However his mount comes into this race on the back of good efforts in three of his last four outings and the only concern is whether he will find the ground faster than ideal. Most of his form has been on good ground or softer but he has run well on fast ground in the past. He is normally seen in slightly better company than this and he is weighted to win on a mark of 74 having posted his last two victories from marks of 73 and 75. Cativo Cavallino is ten pound lower than when going close here over six furlongs a few seasons back. After his seasonal reappearance he didn't run a bad race in nine outings last season, winning once. Five of his six victories have come on the polytrack but his form on turf is largely comparable. Despite looking in need of his reappearance over six furlongs at Lingfield last month he stayed on well after being hampered to get within three lengths of the winner. He is just as effective over seven furlongs and gets on well with today's partner.
3.00 - Beverley:
King Of Swords -@ 9/2 (General)
Lucky Dan - e/w@ 14/1 (General)
After the last meeting it's difficult to predict just how the draw will pan out today but, with all sixteen standing their ground, it may still pay to side with those drawn higher. The race in which Lucky Dan finished third and King Of Swords fifth at Thirsk ten days ago may hold the key to the outcome of this. King Of Swords was noted travelling well throughout the race but he never got the gaps when he needed them. He finished well when racing room was granted but it was too late for his chances of winning. He looks to be peaking and the return to a stiff track from a good draw is in his favour. He has won from today's mark in the past and all three victories last season came under today's jockey. Lucky Dan doesn't win very often, and ideally needs a sixth furlong, but this stiffer track could bring his stamina into play if they go hard enough and he can keep tabs on the trailblazers. He is not ideally drawn but he seems to get on particularly well with today's jockey.
4.00 - Beverley - Deadly Secret e/w@ 14/1 (General)
Probably a bit speculative on the balance of his form but this represents an easier task for Deadly Secret. His fitness has to be taken on trust but the yard have been in very good early season form and he may be straight enough to do himself justice. He often ruins his chance by being too keen but there looks the likelihood of a generous gallop and that could help him relax. He is three pounds lower than when running by far his best race at Doncaster last June. The rest of his performances since his Juvenile campaign have not been very encouraging but the inherent ability is there, and it would be surprising if his handler didn't find the key to him at some point.
5.40 - Warwick - Iceman George e/w. @ 16/1 (William Hill)
City Stable caught the eye on his reappearance and he is chucked in here on his old form. However backing unlucky losers at relatively short prices next time out is not often profitable. At a much bigger price, Iceman George is preferred on this occasion. He returned to the flat on the A/W at Kempton last month and ran well, making up late ground over 12 furlongs to finish 4/13, beaten just under five lengths. Most of his form last season came over today's trip and he returns to the turf five pound lower than his last winning mark. With doubts surrounding plenty of the opposition, and fitness assured, the selection looks capable of making the frame at least.
