Having stated the above I think it is fair to say in most if not all our CCC games we have had spells of being well on top but let it slip, the very 1st game v Essex seeming to have set the tone. We definitely lack an out and out pace bowler ( a fit Simon Jones would make a big difference) and possibly would have been a better option as our overseas player at the present time. Other players ( McKenzie notably) not playing even close to what was expected and others very in and out. Can only hope Lumb, Kabir and Dimi returning will really help and the 20/20's we perform well ( which we really should) and give ourselves some confidence/momentum. Possibly in the absence of Dimi and Lumb the team simply do lack confidence ?

As someone astutely pointed out Saints have had a good season and we're happy so Hants must play like beginners to make us unhappy !

Well there are at least 3 different rules applying to away goals I can think of straightaway: 1) The standard away goals count double after 90 mins in the 2nd leg 2) In the League Cup away goals count double after ET in the 2nd leg 3) As above they don't count at all ! Surely anything is better than penalties?
