  1. One of the more appropriate user names on here I suggest lol
  2. I really don't know why people are always so keen to criticise anyone who actually tried to help the club irrespective of the outcome and any perceived misjudgements on their part. I'm neither for or against Crouch or anyone else for that matter, I just wish people would leave it be but then someone has to bring Lawrie Mac into the debate, ridiculous. I know my own view is somewhat blinkered because he gave myself and many other Saints fans the greatest day of their lives as supporters plus about 10 years or more of really good times but I'm struggling to think of anything significant he has done to harm this club. Then again it was after he took over in 1973/74 that we got relegated so I imagine if this board had been around then people would be calling for his head and then 2 years later saying he was the best thing since sliced bread. Fickle or what ?
  3. Great interview and even saying "I obviously feel that I am as responsible as anyone for the club's position." Well I think most people would agree he was one player who has nothing to reproach himself for but I really admire that attitude.
  4. Another post which would be more suited to the missing betting forum: I kept track of bookings/sending offs in the PL last season more for a few fun bets on live games than anything else. However, the following stood out and I shall be looking out for this again. Official: Fulham were the cleanest side in the Premier League last year ! I just received an email which almost tallied with my figures though I missed a few early games and this is a very reliable source: http://www.footballbettingresults.co.uk/ Fulham were the most well behaved team in the league last season - picking up just 40 Yellow Cards and 1 Red Card from their 38 games. They averaged 12.9 Booking Points For per home game and only 8.9 Booking Points For per away game - that's less than one yellow card per game! * 14 of their 19 home games went 'Under 35 Booking Points'/ 'Under 3.5 Cards'. And it was any even better performance away from home... * 16 of their 19 away games went 'Under 35 Booking Points'/ 'Under 3.5 Cards'. Of course you need to factor in their opponents but I'll be making a point of checking Fulham's games and hopefully finding some good betting opportunities.
  5. He's a Swiss national so I imagine he considers himself to be Swiss but with a German heritage. That would be a reasonable assumption I guess.
  6. Yes, I Lol'd as well !!
  7. Probably me, I mention ATR quite a lot TBH. I noticed now that Hugh Taylor has tipped Emirates Roadshow and he is better than most tipsters you would pay good money to, eg Tommo, need I say more Edit: No actually you would not pay good money to them if you had any sense!!
  8. Davis in goal but beyond that I don't really have a clue TBH
  9. Was impressed by his run at Ascot last time despite only finishing 7th and just think the 14/1 on offer at Hills earlier was too big a price, it's a sporting bet granted but so was Lady Darshaan yesterday who ran on well to finish 3rd at 16/1. I notice Union Island has drifted from 22/1 out to 28/1 on Betfair in the last 30 minutes which is either very ominous or means if you're confident you can get an ever bigger price!
  10. What I said !! Lets not forget that without his briiliant century in the final Ashes test in 2005 England probably would have lost.
  11. Sorry, Emirates Roadshow is the one for me as well.
  12. Who said romance was dead !
  13. Yep it's a bit rich for a player with a lesser test average, just under 48, and who played at a pace a snail would have found slow to criticise someone better than him. I really don't understand why anyone would want Boycott as a commentator. He's like a broken down gramophone record!
  14. Easily done at present to be fair!
  15. That makes it even more amazing it's working so well
  16. Oddly enough their test averages are almost identical, Smith 50.33, Pietersen 50.49. I'm by no means KP's biggest fan especially as he seems not to care a hoot for his County but anyone averaging over 50 in over 50 tests is clearly a top class player. He did play a stupid shot without question but that's just the way it is with him. Lets not forget that without his briiliant century in the final Ashes test in 2005 England probably would have lost. So I'd put him down as a flawed genius, a bit like Ronnie O'Sullivan in snooker.
  17. Well that's pretty conclusive I'd say lol
  18. I think if it takes you 3 hours you don't have Alzheimers but you're too stupid for it to matter, HTBH
  19. Be sure there are always things people can find to moan about ! For starters and in no particular order: Lack of updates on the OS Not making a bid to sign Peter Crouch/ or making a bid to sign Peter Crouch ! Markus not attending every game Not enough meat in the pies Only beating the likes of Millwall 3-0 Kelvin's first mistake- should have joined West Ham ! Need I go on
  20. Haha, whenever I think of Boycott I think of the Test match in which he was playing when he was so slow some wag in the crowd shouted "Come in number 1, your time is up ! " Then the infamous World Cup final v West Indies at Lords in the 70's when Boycott and Brearley put on about 150 for the 1st wicket but they were so slow England had to score at about 15 an over to win, unsurprisingly they failed !!
  21. Sit comfortably and be calm. This is a serious test, not a joke.. Put your thinking process aside - i.e. put your brain in neutral gear. 1- Find the C below. Do not use any cursor help. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 2- If you already found the C, now find the 6 below. 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 6999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 3- Now find the N below. It's a little more difficult. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM This is NOT a joke. If you were able to pass these 3 tests, you can cancel your annual visit to your neurologist. Your brain is great and you're far from having a close relationship with Alzheimer
  22. With Pieterson you have to accept that his brilliance can also be his weakness. He actually played an excellent, well controlled innings but at some point he is always going to try to totally dominate the bowling. Despite the fact it's fair to say he played a pretty dumb shot that's the flip side of the arrogance which makes him so good. He was still our top scorer and I'd have him in my side any day.
  23. Who cares, this feelgood factor will last and last. Well at least until our 1st game !!
  24. Was that because it was likely to be vandalised or some scally was likely to nick it !!
