Of course and FIFA will see that and ban Keita, of that I have no doubt. However, why would they then not rescind the 2nd yellow card yet I'd be surprised if they do as the "rules" probably don't allow it. Bizarre and just makes a mockery of the game.

How absurd, why the hell was Keita running towards Kaka anyway when he didn't have the ball !? One of the worst sending offs in history, I have no doubt Keita will get banned for his reaction but if FIFA would show common sense for once they would rescind the 2nd card/sending off. Otherwise it just makes a mockery of things, no way should any player get banned when it's as plain as day they were the victim of poor refereeing ( to be polite) and yet of course it has happened before. Darren Fletcher missed the 2008 CL final having been sent off in the semi final, it was clear from the replays he did nothing wrong and played the ball, still he was suspended. Regardless of which team you support and whether you like Kaka/Fletcher or Brazil/Man Utd any fair minded football fan would surely want to see a just outcome.

Well done, I rarely bet on anything other than horse racing though my biggest ever bet was £500 on a Rugby League handicap at 10/11. A game we could have won 10-1 in truth but Heskey as usual missed at least 2 clear cut chances and Joe Cole was not available. As we all know the left side of our midfield has long been a problem which begs the question when we have a player like Cole who is now available why not play him and put Gerrard into his more favoured position ? John Terry certainly wants him in the team as do I as it is clear that whatever the reason that system isn't working now. Lampard and Gerrard both scored 2 in that game but aside from the early part of the USA neither have looked like scoring. I thought being intransigence was the forte of Sven but Capello seems now to be following suit.

That pretty much sums it up though you'd think the Ivory Coast player had been clobbered by Muhammad Ali, certainly worthy of an Oscar.

This is why I despair at Football these days. Players cheating, players getting booked/sent off for touching someone, 1st Klose and now Kaka and yet leg breaking challenges often go unpunished. Can you imagine the games of the 60's and 70's, most games would have been abandoned due to at least one team going down to 6 men. Ridiculous.

I have joined a few myself but not in recent years. I did belong to one excellent service ( which it should have been at £1000 + per year! ) but having made a decent profit in spite of the fee and more importantly learnt a lot- I had free access to the guy who ran it and was able to visit a few stables- I now go it alone though as I said the wretched tipsters won't leave me alone ! That service was the one which owned a few horses and laid them out to win and took me over to the dark side;) So for 2 or 3 runs anyone in the syndicate knew the horses were not going to win and be ridden with kid gloves. So that was a real eye opener but also very profitable. I never felt sorry for anyone backing the horses before they were "ready" to win since aside from the generally big prices there was no reason to back them based on form etc; so be it selfish or not it was their decision to back them. Henry's legs have gone so he doesn't justify a starting place which I suspect may be the real issue since he is one of the "elite" who like to run the team as opposed to the manager. Not helpful ! As for Capello I'm not sure he's losing the players loyalty but he is certainly making a complete mess of picking the team and playing players in the wrong position, in particular Gerrard. However, as I stated elsewhere I'm sure Rooney isn't fully fit but as with Man Utd( who played him much too often last season) he is considered irreplaceable and without him we simply aren't good enough.

Ok, I do have a few for Sunday, concentrating mainly on Pontefract. 3.10 - Pontefract - Follow The Flag - e/w. @ 8/1 : Probably inevitable I would end up backing this horse who doesnt always help himself by racing lazily. However it's hard to knock recent efforts, winning 2 of last 5 starts and not disgraced in warm handicap last time. Should be on the premises once more but with Luc Jordan a likely winner for Cumani/Fallon I'm taking the ew option. 4.20 - Hereford - Miss Saffron - @ 7/2 : A filly I like a lot, has come on leaps and bounds since switching to handicaps and looks to have more to come. A 7lb penalty may prove too lenient. 5.10 - Pontefract:Saxby - @ 11/2 /Scarboro Warning - e/w. @ 40/1 : A Tricky looking race but Saxby is not without ability and wears cheekpieces for the 1st time today. Scarboro Warning is not a horse that can be backed with any great deal of certainty, has a tendency to hang left as shown when finishing 7th last time out. However, based on the form shown on debut not without a chance and 40/1 is too tempting albeit to small stakes. If anyone else is backing anything today good luck, otherwise good luck to me Chris

Well we actually won a game after bowling Gloucs out for 68:lol: Ervine took 4/12 in his 4 overs, Cork 2-9 in 3.5 overs and Hants then knocked off the runs in 7.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.

Flip me, just noticed this result in the 5.20 at Redcar: 1st Crianza 100/1 2nd Clare Harrier 66/1 3rd Verluga 66/1 Crianza was 1000/1 on Betfair !!! Of course I had a few sneaky quid on.
