not a 'lookylikey' reminder but........... when i see the words 'potato skins' on a menu i can't help but think of 'foreskins'.....this is made even worse when they have 'cheesy potato skins'.. .i tend to feel a littlebit sick at that point... also, whenever i see a van with 'Shopfitters' written on it, i can't help but think it says 'Shoplifters'......

Sam Brown-Stop........takes me straight back to a holiday in Blackpool with my mates in '89 (the 1st time i'd holidayed away from my parents).. Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds album- used to (and still do) listen to that album lots...every time i hear a certain dialogue from it (the bit where he says "and suddenly, the lid fell off" takes me straight back to my living room in the house i lived as a kid ,waiting for my Mum to come home from work, hoping that aliens weren't really attacking and that she would come home safely.... Thomas Dolby-Hyperactive.........i can, clear as day, remember sitting on the curb outside my house when i was about 10-11 ,learning the words to this song from the Lyrics page in Smash Hits, and even though he never actually swore in it i could never actually bring myself to say the word "funk"

probably chinese lanterns.....i saw one a few weeks back and wondered wtf it was as it was too bright and slow to be a plane/helicopter. realised a couple of weeks ago (after my mate's neighbour lit one) that it must've been that. HTH

i know this road VERY well as i work on Belbins Ind Estate...it's a bloody disgrace that Cupernham lane is a 30mph zone, there are only about 6 houses along it. I find it very difficult to keep the car under 30 on that road,BUT (and here is the crux of the matter) there are 30mph signs all along it, so you (as i ) have no excuse in ignoring the them..... PS , i manage to keep it at 35mph, so not quite EVERYONE does 50.......but i know what ya mean... best of luck with an appeal

what do women look for in a man?? 1) the morals of a Saint 2)the loyalty of a puppy 3)the strength of a warrior 4) the vulnerability of a child and 5) the sexual prowess of a porn star Thats not much to ask ,surely! -
they're presumably being charged with attempted murder....its highly improbable that they'lll get a suspended sentence

but what you fail to realise is that most of these youngsters are following in the footsteps of the 'older' football thug. They think they are cool, worldly, people to 'look up to' , to be revered.....how many granny bashers have other granny bashers to look up to , to egg them on,do they have meetings in the pub to arrange the next bashing event??...NO.they are 'stand alone' criminals....if someone is sent down for 2 years for hitting an OAP ,is there shockwaves throughout the whole bashing fraternity?????NO.......hence ,no real deterrent .....

Harvey, don't be a ****!! and you're damn right i would........and that is EXACTLY what is going to happen to those convicted of that cyclists assualt, and rightly so.....violence ,of ANY sort, should not be tolerated and should be punished HEAVILY.....
