turns out the OP was sort of right (mmm, this humble pie is tasty!!) the college course culmintates in the students stewarding at the Olympics.... not sure as in what capacity (trainee,work experience,fully qualified etc).......but ,nevertheless,they WILL be at the Olympics.........humblist apologies to to Swannymere.....

this is what ive been saying for YEARS!!!.....if they want handouts, then they spend the money on what it was designed for....food and clothing....not beer,fags, drugs and Sky+HD ffs!

omg, are you for real????? are you not able to find your way to the well-signposted toilets by yourself?...can you not form a queue at the catering outlets and move forward and exit it when required without being directed how to do it?....how on earth do you cope when sat in traffic, without having anyone to tell you which way to go?....exactly how many stewards would you like the club to employ so that you (and 20,000 other people) can make it swiftly to and from your seat at half-time without having to bump into or go around other people.... haha....some people......

upgrade after upgrade has delivered no improvement in the matchday service. It p1sses me off that in this day and age of high speed broadband that a page takes 20 seconds to load (if it loads at all). It's a joke!....We were playing Yeovil Town on a Tuesday night ffs. i bet there wasnt THOUSANDS of members all logged on at once......probably 4-500 at most.....a server as 'advanced' as the one we have been promised SHOULD be able to cope and not have a ruddy spaz attack!! i can listen to games on Radio Solent, but like to come on here and see whats going on at the same time..but it is REALLY getting my back up....we haven't even got the member list at the bottome like we used to have (removed to lessen the burden on the system!!)....what else is gonna be 'stripped' to make things 'flow' better during peak times?

i was on a plane flying down the East coast of America. As we were level with Washington DC the plane turned around and started heading back UP the coast....No-one knew what was going on or what had happened until the pilot had landed in Bangor ,Maine and he made the announcement. No TV's were allowed on in the airport lounge (presumably for fear of scaring us), but my mate found a radio in his hand luggage and the whole lounge listened in in disbelief... It wasn't until near-on 2 hours later that we got to a hotel and could turn on a TV.......i remember seeing the replays of the planes hitting and just being completely dumbfounded, it was like something out of a film!. Hard to believe that 9 years have passed since that day.........Thoughts are with all the survivors,aswell as the family and friends of those people who were murdered that day......

Thanks guys....i have the sh1tzu over with me at the moment and he just settles in as if he lives here,bless him..again the staffie just didnt want to come to mine...he seems to enjoy the peace and quiet at home i think Hammy, the staffie is only a littl'un (fat mind, but only little!LOL) ..he's 14 now, so very arthritic and a bit doddery, but very lovable...... Think that we have got things covered now that me and our other neighbour are back from holiday, i only work 2 days a week, so they should be ok by themselves till i get home... thanks again for the offers guys and i will PM you if we get stuck in the future...

sorry guys, i forgot all about this thread. there is a little sh1tzu who,tbf, is no trouble whatsoever...i had him stay every night at my place and i didnt have any troubles at all...the other is a very old (but very horny ) staffie...he is also adorable and just wants to be petted....he stayed in my neighbours flat every night and ,quite frankly, seemed fairly content with that ...my neighbour is back in hospital this week and next and ive said that i will do all i can for her (the sh1tzu is quite happy to live with me and my dog,but the staffie just turns round and goes back home whenever i try to get him to come to mine...so, in all honesty its just the staffie that is a bit of a problem really.. We are in Weston,btw

i would be taking MY dog with me if that was an option... the only family she has is a waster of a son who is currently on holiday at her Majesty's pleasure,so he's no bloody use i'm afraid...

my elderly neighbour has been in hospital since Monday and i and another neighbour have been looking after her 2 small dogs (one has stayed overnight with me while the other has stayed at his home,as he prefers it on his own. She came home today but has got to go back into hospital for 5 days next week.The problem is that myself and my neighbour are on holiday ,so can't look after the dogs.The lady is a pensioner,so can't afford kennels so what i was wondering was does anyone know of any charities/organisations who are able to look after her dogs whilst she is in hospital...there MUST be somewhere that they can go,at minimal cost,she can't be the ONLY person to be in this situation.. If anyone could shed some light onto what her options are that would be great. She has tried the PDSA and they said that all she can do is sign the dogs over to them...permanently! (this is NOT an option)... Thanks guys serious posts only please, smart alec comments are not welcome!

i NEVER eat a stew on the same day that i cook it..you gotta let the meat tenderise for at least a day (2 if poss).....that way it also thickens in it's own juices as the veggies start to disintegrate! (which also means less chewing!) and ALWAYS brown the meat first (sorry Jill) as it seals al the lovely juices inside!...MMMMM i add loads of different things to mine ,baked beans, tomato ketchup, brown sauce, bayleaves,touch of curry powder,Oxo,Worcestershire Sauce,mustard.........tis bloomin LUVVELY!!!! (if i do say so myself!!)
