  1. ive had a full body Reiki healing session.....which is absolutely fantastic!!!...makes you feel completely rested!! ( its a very spiritual treatment, and does wonders if youre stressed) also had a treatment called The Bowen Technique (sp). i had sciatica a few yaers back and was at my wits end with it, a friend advised me to go n see this lady in sholing to give Bowen a try. its a very subtle muscle manipulation, and does not hurt at all......altho you really feel it a day or so after !!!.......i occasionally get small twinges in my hip now, but it has never re-occured (touch wood)
  2. i share your fears DD.........at least there won't be any kids there to get caught up in it, no right-minded parent would take kids into an atmosphere like that atm!!!
  3. LMFAO!!!!!!!!! :smt043
  4. yeh, buy a red one.......they're MUCH cheaper on the insurance!!! :smt044
  5. i bet my dad could beat up your dad!!! :smt062
  6. not wanting to sound pentantic, but it was YOU that raised the issue of stewards remuneration!:yawinkle:
  7. it's not the ONLY job i do Mars!!!........having kids restricts the times that i can work and stewarding fit into my lifestyle very nicely,thankyou.......anyway, before we get further into MY family's financial arrangements, let's get this thread back on topic, shall we?.....
  8. don't forget to add in car running costs (if applicable) petrol/car tax/mot/insurance, it all adds up..... ( i try to pay off my insurances ,home and car,in one lump rather than spread them out over the year, you may be a bit skint for a month, but it frees up some cash for the rest of the year)
  9. and we all make our own decisions on where or how we earn money.just because people CHOOSE to become a steward, why does that make them less of a fan than you???..they use the 'catering' facilities, they buy the merchandise from the club (with NO staff discount, before you ask!)the same as all the rest of you 'uber-fans'.. and anyway what's wrong with combining priorities.........provide money to safeguard your family's financial stability AND still be a part of the matchday experience........it was a no-brainer for me
  10. i used to steward at SMS. the majority of stewards work there to supplement their income , be it because they have families or are students etc. i AM a fan of SFC and have been ALL my life (as have 90% of stewards). i go to as many away games as finances allow, and saints are in my heart, so DON'T tell me that I'M not a fan..........i couldn't afford to go to watch matches once i got a mortgage and had kids, so my husband and i decided to start stewarding, as a way of still being surrounded by the matchday atmosphere and all the passion that football brings, without being out-of-pocket. some of you should remeber that the people who steward are just normal people like each and every one of you, like someone else said, no matter where you work you will always get a dickhead or two, but don't tar them all with the same brush.
  11. so, can i ask you guys why it's taken you 3 days to post this on here...........none of you have the guts to post it first and so go against the grain of the "all stewards are c**ts" threads??..(aside from um bongo of course) ??
  12. yeh!!!.......god forbid people need to earn money to feed their families!!!!.......whatever will they think of next!!!!!!!..
  13. :smt103  ](*,) :smt100 :smt021 OMFG!!!!! if this is true, then Mr Lowe should be treated with a lot of tlc and sympathy.................as he's obviously F*KCING DERANGED!!!! progress???????? forward??????? the man has LOST IT ,big time!!!!!!! (and, if it's not true, then at least it took our minds off 'which protest method to choose' for a couple of minutes!!)
  14. dunno bout you lot, but is anyone else fu(kin depressed now???....i am
  15. Sorry guys.......PMT (post-match tension) n all that!!!! :yawinkle: (group hug?????) :D:D
  16. yeh, anger and frustration aimed at RL and the board, but NOT at our own fans,surely??........if you saw THAT comin Harvey, maybe you should do the lottery mate!
  17. the police don't direct the stewards you pillock!!!!....the police are there as a back-up for them......the stewards are directed by the control room.....if they say 'go in there n pull that fan/trouble maker out, then the stewards have to do it......in fact i know of one incident that happened today where one of the seniors refused to send his stewards in as it was so volatile, that senior is now facing disciplinary action for disobeying orders and refusing to endanger his staff ...........like i said damned if ya do, damned if ya don't S1S, i apologise for misunderstanding your first post, it appeared to me that you were blaming the police for not being present.......altho, having said that the games' 'police categories' are decided by not only the stadium safety officer , but senior police officers too.....so in fact , they MUST take some of the blame along with Mark Long... however, did anyone on here expect the level of violence that we saw today????? probably only thise who were hell bent on starting it,perhaps....
  18. no......the problem today was that Saints fans (some, fuelled by alcohol no doubt) have had enough of being treated like c**ts by Lowe and his cronies and things got a bit out-of-hand......how the f8ck can you blame the police for people kickin off at each other!!!!!........:smt102 if they'd have gone in to sort the 'fighters' out, then you'd all be on here screaming about how the 'pigs bundled in mob-handed'.....damned if they do,damned if they don't..........
  19. ooooooooooooooooooooooooo, ark at her!!!!!!!!!:smt107

  25. bless him, he looks like a lovely man..... has anyone heard if they'll do a minutes silence at the next game?.....i know the club can't do it for ALL saints fans who pass away, but this man was on his way to support the team he/we love....i think it would be a nice gesture to his family and friends RIP Mr Heys x
