Definitely, just look at Leicester last season and the Norwich and Leeds so far this year.
-
It's cruel but I'd love it if they did that

What's Stewart Henderson up to nowadays?

Interesting about the overtraining. I stumbled across this article yesterday: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9239342.stm It's interesting reading as I think a good number of us on here (myself included) were enthusiastic about Pardew ensuring that players did a lot of fitness work pre-season; especially as it seemed to work so well under WGS. Forgot to add: my thanks also for the report, Spudgun.
-
It would be worth saving that article to Wikipedia as the definition of 'agent talk'...
-
Maybe worth noting that the second comment wasn't the mirror journo's own - just a retweet.

That was a sign at the England B game (just prior to France 98 ) when Tiss scored thrice and hit the woodwork twice leading Hoddle to conclude that he wasn't worth including him in the World Cup Squad (in the process actually managing to make Chris Sutton look clever).

Fuller seemed to carry the can for Lowe and Redknapp only spending 90k on a striker rather than paying £4m for Clinton Morrison...
-
I remember posting on here that we'd become one-dimensional as the rest of team were totally reliant on Bale and someone having a go at me for 'blaming Bale' for us dropping away from the play offs...
-
Could be worse, Reading have been trawling around the non-league - they signed that lump Antonio from Tooting and Mitcham..!
-
Following on... Some people on here seem to think that because anyone looking for / getting involved in violence after the game should be responsible for any trouble they get into then that absolves the police tactics from any criticism. Is it not fair to say that: a) if you go kicking off outside a football ground after a game that's been covered on live television and the area's swarming with OB then you need your head examined b) the decision to let fans out at the same time is at best asking for trouble and at worst looking for trouble.

Its wasn't at Sunderland, the Mackems came to the bridge and gave Chelsea a hiding. And 606 has had a few Chelsea fans coming on moaning about Acelotti over the past couple of weeks.
-
This is what I got from Solent's interview. Adkins actually sounded ****ed off with the fact that the players hadn't done what he'd asked them to to. Simple as that.
-
Did Jaidi cost us yesterday though? I only listened on Solent but it sound that a lot of their attacking came through Harding who appeared to be having an uncharacteristic howler of a display. Agree about Merrington. Usually I'd defend him but his obsession with anything other than 442 being negative (and then banging on about it ad nauseam) is beyond tiresome. He was the same last season when Pardew employed the 451 and we played some great football.

Are digs like this really necessary?

The fact that the initial photographer 'ban' was lifted, apparently after Cortese had a meeting at News International indicates that this is simply untrue.
-
So in short, Echo photographers (not the Echo itself) are banned due to them breaching their licence. Am I reading this correctly, FM? And if so, it Murray lying when he says:
-
So are you saying that Cortese is wrong to have any kind of relationship with the media?

Remember - it isn't official until it appears on one of Weston's posts.

Bit harsh - Lallana wasn't made to play at left back for extended periods of time.

Maybe he's been to Portugal before?

I know I'm in the minority but I really like it too. If/when we go back to stripes then hopefully something like the 70s/80s kits with one colour more prominent.
