  1. What's been spent on us so far is small beer for them but if they are looking to establish us as regulars in Europe (let alone the Champions League, which to me is totally unrealistic), then the sort of outlay required is going to go through the roof.
  2. I think even LC's harshest critic would agree that his intentions towards the club were unquestionable (but as Phil suggests good intentions and being a fan are not a recipe for success).
  3. Two in fact. An a murderer and a b murderer.

    Guly

I was surprised that Lambert came off for Bignall last night as I thought it would make more sense to give our player and Guly some game time together.
  5. No, their attack was terrible - they should have had at least one in the first half and possibly should have done better on a couple of other occasions. Fair play to them, they tried to play the game and didn't come for a point but they were a truly terrible side.
  6. I think the club's hands are tied to some extent with this. Cortese is on record as saying he'd prefer the whole Northam for home fans only. I've never been in the Northam but I'd guess that there's a big brick wall in the concourse right below where the home fans 'end'.
  7. Dan Harding should have a mention.
  8. If I remember correctly, Adkins in his first press conference with us said that Scunny effectively didn't have a scouting network in comparison to here.
  9. If it had been eleven v eleven do you think that Notts would have scored again?
  10. Cheers, Pat; I had assumed that Murdoch was the actual goalkeeping coach. Do you know Keith Grainger is up to now?
  11. Well... Lescott went for £22m.
  12. Not a fan of Murdoch then?
  13. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showgroups.php Someone correct me if this is wrong...
  14. I think they would have but Feeney (their No17) seemed blow a gasket and was beckoning them all forward. He then seemed to lose the plot completely just before he was substituted.
  15. If he's any good then other clubs ill know about him.
  16. He was also having to come straight in and play a full season in the championship, which I believe is too big an ask of players at that age.
  17. Wasn't that just after he elbowed David Hughes in the face?

    Dickson

Where did you hear this about the wing back system?
  19. I don't think anything 'official' has come out of the club yet (so nothing to postpone). The only thing I'm aware of is the comments from NC at that dinner the other week.
  20. Typical bloody Cortese. Obviously putting of the Fan's Forum until we're five points clear at the top of the league and nobody can remember the last time we conceded a goal.
  21. Didn't we destroy Tranmere, who in turn beat Rovers, under our Nige?
  22. That's a bit previous, isn't it? Won't they have to change them all if they stay up?
  23. Drew's team are currently third in the championship - it didn't work out for him at Wolves but once he's fit again there's a chance he's going to have a very successful season. It's not like he's made a terrible mistake and would have been better off here. Besides, if Lallana's got any confidence in his own ability then he'll probably also look to the example of Walcott and Bale (who I know Adrian mentioned above) and also Baird who people on here suggested had made a mistake joining Fulham because he was a sub for a while.
  24. Many thanks.

    Waffle!!

The press are always going to ask about injuries in case they get lucky and NA lets something slip. Their job isn't to help NA get an advantage, they're paid to try and get a scoop.
