Not in one close season transfer window though, that's the big difference. That's what I'm struggling to understand. Lots of circumstances coming together or something else that we're not privy to?
I'd be surprised if there was much to argue about that statement. Normally I wouldn't be concerned about the timing of the new arrivals within the window but as it's looking like we will have new players in several key positions they're going to need some time together to hit the start of the season running.
I like to think my glass is half-full rather than half-empty but I'm starting to become a little concerned that the 'outs' will not be offset by the 'ins' in terms of either quantity or quality. Hopefully there's plenty of activity going on behind the scenes (in a positive sense)!
I'm sure there's an element of truth in that (although it was by no means Rickie's best season) but something doesn't sit right that there appears a desire to get away from the club.
It's starting to look pretty dire, let's hope the slide is halted sooner rather than later. Still, at least that tyrant Cortese is no longer at the helm eh.
Sorry if already posted but see SSN are reporting saints have turned down an £18m bid for Lovren and believed to be holding out for £25m

"In my experience, if a player wants to go, he goes, and that will be the outcome."
David Dein talking to SSN about the Suarez situation but would seem to apply equally to us.
