The problem is his win rate in the premier league last season was 24%. I can't be arsed to dig out the stat on points lost from winning positions but I think we all know what that will tell us and in which direction his returns are heading. Overall, recent performances are not offering much hope for the future. You’re right. Going into the Villa game I was looking forward to seeing a big improvement; lots of new players having best part of 2 weeks to really come together. What we saw was a tame selection from Ralph and a terrible performance.

Keep it simple man. I’ve only seen 3 ratings so far: good, average, dog dirt. We’ve been a mixture of average and dog dirt this season; extrapolate that to your heart’s content.

Working our socks off and defending hard, all be it against a clueless Chelsea attack, are givens in my book and do not make an average performance a good one.

Again early season for Leeds as well, what's the point here? Villa were shit too... so? If we're shit when playing P*mpey, is that ok? Average performances v Mancs and Wolves, should've definitely got something out of those 2 games. Good results != good performances. Same can be said for bad results not equalling bad performances. From my point of view, we've not had a good performance so far this season. We've had 2 piss poor performances and 5 average performances - where "average" would see us as a lower to mid-table team. We were fortunate to meet the Chelsea side we did; they were double-piss poor that day.

We got Chelsea and Lester at very good times for us. We're fortunate to have 7 points, the very concerning aspect is the last performance at Villa. I've seen some really shit football in my time but that offering from the team last Friday was up there with the worst of it. We should be starting to gel at this point of the season, at Villa Park they looked like fucking strangers with very little understanding of their purpose on the pitch. We need to see a positive reaction in our next match, otherwise the fat lady will be starting her warm up routine..

Exactly. The youth team I coach were going to mark her passing with a minutes silence before the game, that would've meant more to those players than the damn match being cancelled. Terrible decision.

On the evidence of just a couple of games, Diallo looked better alongside Lavia in that holding midfield 2 than he did alongside JWP. I'd like to see Diallo alongside AMN, freeing up JWP. It's these types of games that we really need to be winning, COYS!!

I’m sure Che is really disappointed with that miss, it is a bit of a howler, no doubt. The rest of his game this afternoon was excellent but rightly or wrongly, he’ll be judged on his goals and he let the team down today.

Diallo’s distribution can be disappointing / sloppy at times. I like his awareness as a DM and once he sharpens the rest of his game up he’ll be an excellent DM.

Maybe a tad early to go with this... Performances have definitely improved with the new signings coming in following the shit shower at Spuds using mainly last seasons squad.
