  1. Ha, just thought similar to this. The West Ham board kept their nerve last season but it's so important that they are in the EPL for the start of next season in their new ground - will their nerve hold again?
  2. No offence to Brett O but Shane is a much better all round player. Really looking forward to see him linking up with Pelle.
  3. The tweet would have caused enough exposure whether it followed Kruegers media chats or not. As the tweet detailed "an hour" then I'm more inclined to believe that relates to the meeting length. I say inclined as in all honesty neither of us actually know fo sure.
  4. Morgan's reaction followed a meeting he had with his agent and the club. Not what was said in the media.
  5. Why do people think we could ever operate to any other model? We will continue to sell at the top and attempt to replenish with greater risk but less cost.
  6. Big Fish eats little fish, big f++king deal. If you expected anything less this summer then you really need to realign your expectations. I am really excited for the coming season. No doubt it will be a bumpy road but as we will never be title challenges we do get to see how the team and young players develop. If they turn out to be CL quality then expect a fair amount of them to leave. And so it all begins again. Life in the premier league will be like this for us. I live and work amongst a lot of Brighton fans and I must admit to being a bit jealous of them being in a proper football league, where it is almost as unpredictable as the PL Is predictable.
  7. Based on what? Scott hasn't played competitive football to a decent standard for some time. Long was excellent last season and I'm convinced our style will suit him and he will get more goals for us.
  8. Fixed it for you.
  9. If Long does join I for one will be delighted. I mentioned on here a couple of times last season that Long looked a great fit for us and I was disappointed to see him join Hull. Great pace, great touch, superb engine and excellent vision. Oh he can finish too. What's not to like?
  10. Agreed. He still has a lot to learn but I think there is a basis there for a very good player to emerge.
  11. Somewhere near the top of the bottom 14.
  12. I think you need to be 18 before becoming professional bum agent. Nice analogy though.
  13. He couldn't get any worse?
  14. 50-50 at best... What two signings would give us this shot at survival? The only solid piece of information you have to judge this side, should you wish to do so, are the pre season games. The rest is your opinion.
  15. You said we were 2 decent signings from a shot at mid table. A "shot" suggests a chance, 50-50 at best. Therefore we can expect that "shot" to be unlikely. Where does that put us? We are not lower midtable. We must be fighting relegation. That's assuming your two "decent" signings arrive. If not, are we doomed? All this from one pre-season game. Genius.
  16. Relegation it is then.
  17. Nowhere good enough compared to last years settled side, who were not that great pre-season either. You have a point.
  18. Staged payments is common practice, even from the elite clubs.
  19. very good, diggers
  20. Is Taider pronounced so that it rhymes with Vader?
  21. It's hard enough trying to find a sporting lisbian, let alone one over halfway through a packet of chewy caramel wrapped in chocolate sweets. Trust in Les!
  22. As sad as it is, I can't see us being anything more than that. Trick will be to squeeze some success out before the £100k a week players move on.
  23. Rickie can have the #7 when he returns in January
  24. As opposed to proven in the CL?
  25. If Celtic go through maybe they don't need to sell him..
