2 tickets available for Man Utd - 1 Adult / 1 u18
benali-shorts replied to benali-shorts's topic in The Saints
Yes -
Son has match on Sat so can't make the game, a pair (1 adult / 1 u18) available in Block 47 at face value via digital transfer if any takers.
-
Ramsdale Sagawara THB Bednarek KWP Lesley Downes Dibling Fernandes Fraser Archer seems to get our best players on the pitch in logical positions whilst providing protection for our weak CBs.
-
Absolutely filthy from Alberto
-
Yuri Alberto also sent off in the same game
-
Ramsdale Sugawara, any two of our mediocre CBs, KWP Downes Lesley Dibling Fernandes Fraser Archer Can someone let Russell know?
-
Is it too much to ask that rather than having a coach who is wedded to a single tactical approach, we have a coach who sets us up to make the best of the resources available? This would ideally not involve Bednarek, Harwood-Bellis and Stephens trying to pass it around like the Brazil ‘70 team.

RM said pre-Cardiff that he's back in full training and should be in the squad within 2 weeks. Not clear which 2 weeks of the infinite future he means.
-
The last time we went down, we had some highly valuable assets to sell (Lavia; Tino; JWP etc). If we go down, we’ll presumably have to cover this window’s spending, which given lower-value player assets might be very painful. Something to look forward to…….

I suspected that Ings didn't want to leave West Ham on their terms, and presumably foregoing bonuses and contract payouts, which might have been distinct from specifically not wanting to join Saints. West Ham were quick to leak Ings's stance / incalcitrant rejection of a move - I don't remember either Ings or Saints specifically said he'd rejected Saints. Presumably both parties are now waiting and hoping the other side cracks as the end of the window looms.
-
Ah yes, I’d forgotten Mara. £10m more. I should also acknowledge Tino as a positive, God knows how we beat Brighton to his signature.
-
Yes exactly. His brother’s company, coincidentally. There seem two distinct transfers we get involved with - British players who largely seem to be recommended by the incumbent manager (Bree, Harwood-Bellis, Downes, Wood, Taylor); and data-led signings which I assume are through the Ankersen process (Lyanco, ABK, Onuachu, Charly, Shea, Fernandes, Orsic, Sulemana, Lavia, Edozie, Aribo). The latter appears to have a success rate of 1 (Lavia) which was seemingly Shields’ call anyway. The rest has been largely a waste of >£100m (Fernandes obviously excepted, and Charly honourably excused as we got out money back at least). So all in all not a great record from the Chuckle Brothers data so far.

Completely agree. Rasmus an egotistical bullshit artist who is taking Dragan for a ride. Shame as Dragan appears quite generous and willing to spend.
-
His hair is fine, He signs shit players all the time, That's why we're going down, Rasmus Ankersen's a fucking clown.
-
Agreed he looks decent, but if KWP stays, we look overstocked on the right and under stocked on the left.
-
On yesterday’s showing? By what metric?
-
On yesterday's showing, only KWP and Downes are PL standard. We've done remarkably well to not sign anyone this window who is a definite starter in their position and who improves the team. Here's hoping Fernandes and Ugochukwu are good enough to start asap (big ask for 20 year olds).
-
I’m dreading reading this thread and discovering that he’s back in training.
-
We could buy both. Or we feel MO’R is overpriced and have moved on (or the player has opted to go elsewhere). I’d wait until the end of the window before overly analysing. Suspect we’ll get MOR once all is said and done.
-
But they were a million young and hungry brushes, albeit with no experience of having worked in a top flight vacuum cleaner before.
-
It was surprising/worrying to hear Parsons talking about how surprised he'd been by the process of transfers. It does seem like we lack experience at Board level in that regard (omniscient Rasmus excepted, of course). It seems strange that SR haven't brought anyone in to address this. Big couple of weeks ahead for the Board.

Apparently playing (Mason Greenwood’s) Marseille in Bradford early August. Odd location.
-
Cameron Archer back at Villa and presumably surplus to requirements. Sure we’ve been interested before.
-
Gomes Rodrigues very disappointing, he looks an incredible prospect
-
West Ham after Wan-Bissaka, which may suggest KWP only a back-up for them if that fails?
