The administrators will sell to the highest bidders no matter who they are. They have one thing to do and that is to generate as much cash as possible to pay of as many creditors as they can. If Lowe or Wilde suddenly came up with a tidy sum the administrators wouldn't stop them.

Don't disagree that he may have been factored in but at what cost? Only Barclays can answer that.
-
No we won't.
-
Which would of involved cost cutting along the same lines as Lowe and co.

The link posted earlier suggested that MW & JP's combined wages were less than Pearson's

One thread got removed because the contents were incorrect and the other got moved to the lounge where it belongs, don't see how that is politically correct.

I doubt Abramovich will leave Chelsea in the sh1t if he leaves the club.
-
Why they got rid of Grant I will never know, still that'll learn em.

Murray also said a lot of clubs are having their overdraft withdrawn 8-[
-
Slightly off topic, Charlton who are £21million in debt, have just had their overdraft facility withdrawn. Administration looking closer for them maybe although their chairman (Murray)denies it.

Saints Greatest XI - The Best Managers Poll
saintwarwick replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
LOL, Lawrie Mac for me. Although Ted was in charge when I first started supporting the Saints it was the latter part of his career so I opted for big Lawrie for what he achieved in his 12 years at the club. -
I don't see Wotte or Poortvliet on that list
-
I thought he was brought in after the Lions tour of 2005. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes Hankey is living in a dream world. If Hankey is that desperate to play Taylor he would move to the PDC, however he is playing it safe earning his keep on the BDO whilst shouting from the corners. Taylor of course is just doing his job and beating everyone put in front of him, Hankey will be just another statistic should it happen.

to take us down yes but we already have a manager who can do this and he's cheaper
-
I believe Crouch, Lowe and Wilde are doing a stage version of "The good, the bad and the ugly".
-
It does help having a decent bank balance to purchase the best players and manager to play this type of football. Until then what we should be doing in this league is as Original_Bournemouth_saint pointed out and that is have big physical players lumping it upfield to even bigger physical players who grind out results by hook or by crook.

I agree against Villa we were totally sh1te and from what I remember we didn't have a single shot at goal but our next game was against Blackburn and not Bolton, a game we luckily won 3-2, he left two days later. However as there appeared to be unrest amongst some players that would show in the team performance. Maybe that accounts for the bad performances. As for the bit about Sturrock blaming the players and not himself, I have yet to hear a manager blame himself, always the fault of the ref, players, injuries, decisions etc.
-
I'm sure when Mandaric employed him it was with a view to gaining promotion not relegation otherwise he wouldn't of got the job in the first place.
-
IYO. As I and others have pointed out it doesn't always work out a second time. What you should of posted was he MAY have been far better than Sturrock but we will never know. HTH.
-
One thing is for sure WE WILL NEVER KNOW. He had a won 5, drawn 2 and lost 6 record with a win rate of just under 39%. That equates to safety in the premiership by a large margin. As someone has already pointed out it doesn't always work out a second time. He has a win rate of just over 35% at present but previously as manager at Plymouth he had a win rate of 47.75% which is a very big margin between the two.

Right so Preston bottled it to enable us to sneak into the playoffs but Leicester didn't bottle it to allow us to survive the championship Whilst Burley underachieved he didn't have us fighting relegation.

Yep, just made a snowman in my garden.
