The issue is not with "big names" more with the mix! SWP and Barton were always going to be a big expensive gamble! That does not mean that players like Defoe will be the same!

Because swansea and norwich have had one good season its now decided that buying non named & prem inexperienced is better than signing proven big names!? How much of this is down to the manager though? Look at the form table since hughes took over QPR and they are well above norwich and swansea!!!
