Leveraged buy outs - can anyone explain to me how it's possible for someone to borrow loads of money to buy a club and manage to make the club itself pay the interest on the loan? Isn't that getting the club to buy itself while ownership magically transfers itself to someone who had possibly paid nothing? This "clever" financial stuff is beyond me.

I believe Poyet's psychology will mean he will want to win this game, and badly. He was to an extent humiliated by our win there (and his silly remarks afterwards), so I reckon he'll go all out for the 100 points, and beat Huddersfield. But it won't be pretty, and I wouldn't be surprised to see at least one red card in the game.

I think Brighton will try for 100 points now that we beat them; it's their last home game, Poyet will want to cement what a manager he is. So it's better for us that Huddersfield is the first of their last two games. 1-0 Brighton. I believe we'll see the job done on Saturday 3-1 Saints.

They were introduced to maintain interest in the season so there aren't as many "meaningless" games at the back end of the season. However the points difference between 3rd and 6th is often quite (too) large. Maybe the only clubs in the playoffs should be those within 1 (or at most 2 points) of the club in front of them to a max of 4 teams, and if only 3 clubs are involved 4th and 5th play off for the right to play 3rd. That way at least 3rd gets some weighting in their favour.

Surely the injury he's had shows him just how tenuous a career in pro football can be. If he was my son I'd tell him to get as good a contract as possible as soon as possible, and safeguard the rest of his life much as possible. No brainer for me really.
